Hello You all:hibye:

I hope everyone is OKEY DOKEY.

Reading Ephesians 6 made me check to see if my Suit of Armor was all cleaned up, and to make sure that it did not need spiritual dusting. (hmmmm)

Hope ya don't mind me sharing what I reviewed after checking  my suit of Armor.

10:  Finally, go on acquiring power in [the] Lord and in the mightiness of his strength.

Reminded me I am in a spiritual war and unless I totally depend on Jehovah for strength and power, I am in big trouble if I even think about directing my own steps and fighting all by myself, or trusting in myself.  I need Jehovah and the association of all my friends of like mind. Hmmmmm

11:  Put on the COMPLETE SUIT OF ARMOR FROM God THAT  YOU MAY BE ABLE TO stand firm AGAINST THE  MACHINATIONS OF THE DEVIL

That old Twisted evil one is always up to no good, lying, attacking us in some way from day to day, either in thought or something, trying to make us give up or question everything Jehovah has told us.  So we need to check out our wardrobe/suits from time to time to ensure we are OKEY DOKEY.   Don't want to be caught off guard right?

12:  because we have a WRESTLING not  against BLOOD AND FLESH BUT against the government, authorities, world ruler of this darkness, against the WICKED SPIRIT FORCES IN THE HEAVENLY PLACES.

This is why the fight is so hard (AS IF I HAVE TO TELL YOU ALL) It is hard enough to deal with humans we CAN SEE, so we surely can appreciate this reminder of how the effects of these evil spirit forces can catch us off guard if we are not FOCUSED.  It is not easy but with this Armor and Phil 4:13 HEY we can do it if we HOLD ON TIGHT.

13: On this account take up the COMPLETE suit of armor from God, that you may be able to resist in the wicked day and, after you have done all things thoroughly, to stand firm.

When we get dressed in the morning, we do not go out with one sock or one shoe, or one earring.  We would not be completely dressed (well let's hope we are not into some kind of new trend:D)  So it is with our Spiritual Suit.  We WANT TO BE TOTALLY ARMED, SPIT OR IS IS SPLIT, WELL JUST BE SHINED UP AND READY FOR ANYTHING THAT MIGHT SLAP US UPSIDE OUR LITTLE HEADS. (FOCUSED)

14:  STAND FIRM (OR ELSE)

15:  Good news of peace (Jehovah's words bring peace of mind if we allow him to work in us to help ourselves and others)

16: ABOVE ALL THINGS take  up the LARGE SHIELD OF FAITH, with which  you will be able to QUENCH all the wicked one's burning  missles.

DON'T BE HALF STEPPING, we either have complete faith or we are in big trouble here.    Don't go out there with a little tiny shield, you might not make it back in hmmmmmm.

17: Accept the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, that is GOD'S WORD -

We need that helmet to protect us from the nonsense that the evil one wants us to believe, he will have us believing every theory and nonsensical story out there.  But we have Jehovah's swords his Word, so we cannot go wrong unless we CHOOSE TO GO IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION OTHER THAN WHERE JEHOVAH IS TELLING US TO GO.  WHICH ROAD WILL YOU TAKE HMMMMMM.

18:  WHILE WITH EVERY FORM OF PRAYER AND SUPPLIATION YOU CARRY ON PRAYER ON EVERY OCCASION IN SPIRIT. AND TO THAT END
KEEP AWAKE KEEP AWAKE, KEEP AWAKE, KEEP AWAKE (OH, I THINK YOU HEARD JEHOVAH, KEEP AWAKE, KEEP AWAKE :D:thumbsup: WITH ALL CONSTANCY AND WITH SUPPLICATION IN BEHALF OF ALL THE HOLY ONE.

Well, these scriptures really touched me.  Just wanted to share with you all.

SISTER BRUISED REED.   THANK YOU FOR THE SPIRITUAL LOVE SMACK (REMINDER)  I LOVE YOU OKEY DOKEY.

Love to you all have a wonderful weekend and HOLD ON TIGHT DON'T LET JEHOVAH GO EVER NO MATTER WHAT.  (Yeah I know you all won't)

OLE EYES & EARS

How WONDERFUL to see this thread of yours this early afternoon my dearest sister ... it made my heart leap with gladness and joy to see your beautiful face this day ...:D:cheer:

Our spiritual benefits so very much from your loving words and reminders ya know ... okee dokey ...;):happyheart::grouphug:

Your bringing out so many lovely thoughts from Ephesians about our 'spiritual armor' caused me to go off on a wee bit of a tangent ... but yet still connected I 'think' ... :roman::funnyface:;)

It got me to wondering about the men who wore 'actual' armor ... and how much it weighed ... so I did a google on it just now and discovered it weighed around 45-60 pounds ...!!! And I can barely lift 10 ...:P
A full suit of armor could consist of 12 pieces; however, some suits had upwards of 20 separate pieces!!

When I looked over the amount of piece of our SPIRITUAL ARMOR ... in verses 14-17 I notice that there is only ... FIVE pieces ... with perhaps an invisible 'force field' ;) as mentioned in verse 18!

The thing that came to mind when I was comparing 'armor' ... was the statement that our Lord made at Matt. 11:30 ...

30 For my yoke is kindly and my load is light.”

Yes our spiritual armor is made out MUCH MORE DURABLE and RELIABLE 'metal' than any armor made by the hands of men ...

I can't help but think of the movie ... A Knight's Tale ... when he changed his armor and the way people reacted to it ...

Yes, our armor to SOME who have not experienced the SAFTEY and SECURITY it brings to us may indeed think we are not 'covered enough' ... but we can and must put FULL FAITH that we not only NEED to HAVE this armor ... but that we WANT to wear it ... and as you said WEAR EACH AND EVERY PART OF IT ...

When knights and soldiers wore their armor in times gone ... they wore it with PRIDE ... and they had to TRAIN to be able to CARRY the WEIGHT (hence they had to be VERY STRONG to do so) ... and LEARN how to put it on PROPERLY ... and ... they had to learn how to TAKE CARE OF IT ... keeping it out of the rain so it wouldn't get rusty ... and if it did get wet drying, cleaning, and oiling it properly so that it would stay as 'supple' as armor could stay ...

I think the same things can also be said of our spiritual armor don't you ...

We need to not only wear it ... but KNOW HOW TO WEAR ... and it keep SHINY and CLEAN and BRIGHT ... and wear it with PRIDE!!

Thanks so much for this reminder ... we can't get enough of those which show us the importance of what we need to do to keep our Christian spirituality burning strong in our hearts!!

luv to you and your E&E ...:heartbeat::heartbeat::friends:

Your sis BR :sheepy: :bouncyhearts:

This shield thureon was so large it was the size of a door. German for door is  die Tür, and is of the same origin. In the greek it does not say "with which" but "in which".

Our faith will be able to surround and smother the burning missiles.
