I believe:
1) Many people take themselves waaaay to seriously at times,
2) Many people have a persecution complex, and when "called to account" for what they have stated, will play the "you're judging me"
card,
3) Most people are unable to actually think for themselves, and, as a result, default to man made religions and creeds,
4) Many people become self-righteous; sometimes because they have become unthinking parrots reciting doctrines of men, or, because they have seen through these doctrines and are on "the other side",
5) Most will find this direct speech "offensive",
And,
6) I have been guilty, at one time or another, of all the above.
Anyone else?

HI Propmin...now how have you been my friend......:hibye:
theres truth in them there words.....speaking for myself....I have a fight everyday to not become cynical and downhearted....so I applaud ones who can take a stand and find peace and joy in that ...and live by their convictions...that's not an easy thing to do....and if some find words that speak to their hearts and minds and endears them to our Lord and Saviour and our God what a happy day for them.
What's worse is not being able to find closure or conviction....we all thought we had it as members of the WTS....but I'm learning I didn't understand anything at all...only had been brainwashed in a well rehearsed parroting of the GB.....this wasn't faith...nor worship....and for any of us to be able to move forward and not become bogged down in a limbo...more power to them.
The key being love.....and for me I understand now I never had Jesus as my foundation....and I learned for me..it meant unlearning all the yrs of brainwashing....and we can only do this in Christ.
I don't know what I'm trying to say....only I hope all find peace in what they find in the form of worship which is to be found in Christ...point being he's the only way to the Father
much Christain love to all:heartbeat:
Sandi
I hope you are finding that peace that can be so elusive:thumbup:and for your number 6 me too....
Howdy Prop.
I believe it is important not to impute motive and or generalize (too much...grin)...grin.:coolmusic:
impute:
a...to attribute or ascribe
b...to attribute or ascribe (something discreditable), as to a person.
c...Law. to ascribe to or charge (a person) with an act or quality because of the conduct of another over whom one has control or for whose acts or conduct one is responsible.
d...Theology. to attribute (righteousness, guilt, etc.) to a person or persons vicariously; ascribe as derived from another.
e...Obsolete. to charge (a person) with fault.

'bout time you Proped in..
The Frontal lobe, or Cortex, of our brain is where it's happening. It's the "monitor screen" of our internal computer and where we "choose", like with a mouse and keyboard, whats "up". When we sleep, our computer is still on, but the Frontal Lobe is off. (we are not making conscious decisions) It takes real energy to keep the screen on, that's why we get tired when we are concentrating or thinking. People are lazy, they would rather let others "think" for them, so they power down their Frontal Lobe, and over time, it gets weaker and weaker.
Thus, those with more mental energy easily overpower those who choose to be weak. Happily, we can power up our Frontal Lobes, and get them working again, if we choose to.
I agree with everything you said.
And how brave of you to admit that you have been guilty of these things too.  Haven't we all.:) Â
(I thought this was going to be about what your spiritual beliefs are.  You tricked me!):protest::P
Hi nami.....how are you ..
Propmin hasn't told us what he believes ...he's only told us that others can't think for themselves...and they take their selves to seriously...which if you want to bottom line it....equates to ....we are all fallen flesh and imperfect...that's not a revelation...nothing new...its what we all do
So propmin what do you beleive:confused:

Well...since you asked:
I believe for an absolute certainty, the following...
1)Â Â Jehovah is GOD the Father
2)Â Â Jesus Christ is his Son
3)Â Â everything written in the Bible is true (see #1 and #2)

Can't fault you there. I agree 100%. That's about all that I can, without a doubt, trust. Which is everything, isn't it?

D,
Would you prefer I cut and paste the Athanasian Creed, or a Watchtower article?
:P

Thanks---I appreciate that you "get the sense" of what I am saying.

It's far more important that we believe for an absolute certainty, the following...
1) We are sinners who need salvation.
2)Â Â Jesus Christ came and died for us and bore our sins in His own body. He was raised from the dead on the third day after His death.
3) We must repent of our sins, and place our trust in Jesus to be saved. Because of this gift of God’s grace, we are justified, redemed, and reconciled.
Can anyone say, "Amen"?

Mav,
My #3 was meant to cover this. No 'creeds', magazines, or religion necessary, aye?
