Greetings Brothers and Sisters!

Glad to say the light is getting brighter and brighter for me and let me also say that I miss all of you - been reading as much as I can but like anyone with children and one computer and a busy job I dont get to say hello to you as much as I would like.

I was reading scripture on the bus today and went to one of my real favorite passages....Colossians Chapter 1.  The I came to

All [other] things have been created through him and for him.....

Since I have been reading a lot about creation over the past few days (It really is the fundamental issue of our relationship with Jehovah IMHO - why are we here?)  I really thought that this was an important statement.

What do we think are the tremendous ramifications of all things being made FOR HIM?  Gee, as a worldy person for a long time I thought the world was made for ME, then a little later for US?  Then I thought Jehovah made it for HIMSELF.  Now I am wondering what would this designation of all things being for JESUS could mean.  

Having all things made FOR Jesus stands to reason, especiallly when one considers that ...

"he sustains all things by the word of his power;" (Heb 1:3)

Please share your insights as they have always edified me.  I never noticed this before.

I just always figured it was a gift to his son.

I take the father son thing very literaly

It might interest you to know that Jesus Himself made all things.


Jhn 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.


Hbr 1:10 And, "YOU, LORD, IN THE BEGINNING LAID THE FOUNDATION OF THE EARTH, AND THE HEAVENS ARE THE WORKS OF YOUR HANDS;
