He made the forests whence there sprung
The tree on which His body hung;

He died upon a cross of wood
Yet made the hill on which it stood!

The sky which darkened o’er His head
By Him above the earth was spread;

The sun which hid from Him its face
By His decree was poised in space!

I'm sorry it took me so long to respond...

That poem was beautiful! Thank you so much, IKnowHim, for sharing it with us!

Will you be sharing any of your own poetry? :)

Well I love poetry, and I know when I see great poetry, and I've not seen any great poetry from me! :redface:

I just love reading the greats. I have a number of favoirtes. Mostly English poetry from the 1700 -1900's

I seem to enjoy ones that are highly polished, and marked with brevity. Heres one of my absolute favorites by Alfred Housman,

With rue my heart is laden
For golden friends I had,
For many a rose-lipt maiden
And many a lightfoot lad.

By brooks too broad for leaping
The lightfoot boys are laid;
The rose-lipt girls are sleeping
In fields where roses fade.

Grace and peace to you in Jesus Christ,
iknowhim

BTW Why do I want to call you "Trinity"?
