Just a quick shout out. I got a job and beat out 87 applicants by using my Jehovah's Witness experience in my cover letter. Yep, I ONLY got picked, first, because of those two words. I can also move around in the company to several sales positions. I FINALLY have decent pay! Yeah! I FINALLY have a flexible work environment! Yeah! The company has two JW's and the boss man LOVES them and their work ethic. After such a long struggle, I wonder how important this coincidence is?

I'm so happy to have a way to support my family. This last round had us with no birth certificates or social security cards. The kids father stole them, like they were car titles. I couldn't even get help from a food bank!

The children endured like troopers, our refrigerator is full and I have cash in my wallet.

Do you know when the test stopped? I answered an ad on Craigslist for someone needing help with a divorce. Poor woman has a 16 year old daughter in the penitentiary! She is hurting so much. She can't afford to pay anyone. When I started communicating with her, the pressure lifted and it was like I heard a "Well done!". Through it all, I still had my heart of love and giving. Every step after that, had Holy Spirit walking me through the steps. The pressure lifted. And there are so many people involved during this experience. I'm so happy! I'll take the breather before the next round.:drinking:

Dear Observant,

I'm in Orlando, FL, right now(I don't know for how long). I've gotten hired for some sales jobs, but I know I will quit after a day or two. My stress level is up too high and I can't take the pressure of a high pressure job. Also, my children and I will have to go through the adjustments. In other words, everything that can go wrong, will. If a bus is to be missed, it'll happen my first week, etc..Of course, I'm not predicting, its just Murphy's law.
This particular position is just putting a marketing post card at each door. Just like placing the tracts. No thoughts, worries or cares. I get paid to exercise. Perfect for me. Because of my JW experience and the fact that I have a good 15 years in sales, I can switch to a sales position when I'm ready. This is the first job that they didn't "bait" me in on a non sales position and switch me to sales, against my desired career wish. Because, I'm in Orlando, I could have taken a Timeshare sales job, too. One company even advertised that they didn't care if you have a drug problem-just not on their time; another said they want liars, people who can screw other people and feel good about it! The tone being set here is a little too intense for my taste.
