Hey MadJW
Nice to have you here. Looks like you put a great deal of thought and time in to build your website. Some pretty funny stuff.
Come back and visit anytime. I'm curious . . . you don't seem "mad" over on your website. How did you pick the name?
bye for now

Thanks, BA- because I am Insane! heh
Why not add some of YOUR thoughts to the site?

If you are one and the same Mad who was here a few years ago it's good to see your return. Funny how we travel in a circle.
I'll add your site to my bookmarks and see where you are at now.

Cheerio,
Tessa

One note, tho; I love my Brotherhood even WITH all its FLAWS and MISTAKES.
I NEVER praise them/us- but ALWAYS do my God and my King.
One of you INVITED me back- I haven't 'migrated' here- but am on several Discussion Forums that haven't banned me...yet! heh

howdy, bro mad
given your signature line, shouldn't your avatar be fox mulder?
instead of the inimitable dr. house?
your friend and brother, isomam (kinda mad-crazy myself)
We welcome you to continue to join in our discussions. However, we have decided that we cannot allow you to promote your website on the Paradise Cafe.
We have had complaints that it is extremely offensive to some of our members. Is it appropriate for believers to mock other people's beliefs? Not according to the scriptures.
1 Peter 3:15 tells us: But sanctify the Christ as Lord in YOUR hearts, always ready to make a defense before everyone that demands of YOU a reason for the hope in YOU, but doing so together with a mild temper and deep respect."
Proverbs 15:1: An answer, when mild, turns away rage, but a word causing pain makes anger to come up.
2 Timothy 2:25: ... instructing with mildness those not favorably disposed; as perhaps God may give them repentance leading to an accurate knowledge of truth...
Titus 3:2: ...to speak injuriously of no one, not to be belligerent, to be reasonable, exhibiting all mildness toward all men.
For this reason the link to your page is being removed. Paradise Cafe is aiming for a spirit of listening respectfully to the views of others where it doesn't offend Christian sensibilities. We discuss, reason and encourage each other. We don't rip into peoples belief system.
We hope that you understand our position and will respect it. In closing, please know that we enjoy your conversations with us and want you to feel welcome to fellowship with us.
Sometimes even those who are servants of God ridicule Deceivers; Christ did, calling the Paharisees painted
Tombstones beautiful on the outside and filthy on the inside!
However, Elijah went much further-
1 Kings 18:27- About noontime Elijah began mocking them. “You’ll have to shout louder,”
he scoffed, “for surely he is a god! Perhaps he is daydreaming, or is relieving himself
("or using the toilet" - CEV), or maybe he is away on a trip, or is asleep and needs to be wakened!
28- So they shouted louder, and following their normal custom, they cut themselves with knives and swords until the blood gushed out.
Antichrists in CHURCHianity turn a Loving God into 3 Sadistic Beings, teach Satan's Lie (that we
never die), ignoring nearly every truth the Bible teaches, then run around 'praising' Jesus!
It is sad, comical- and sick, all at the same time!
If Christ or Elijah had just called them "idiots" instead- it would have been a Kindness!
So, if they want to blaspheme God and Christ,
as well as ridicule us for our efforts to obey
the King, this is MY way of dealing with them!
Re: "...well as ridicule us for our efforts to obey
the King, this is MY way of dealing with them!"
When you state: "ridicule us", to who/whom in particular are you referring?
If you are to use the word "us", here, at Paradise Cafe; might this not be misleading others to think, that ones here share your personal sentiment(s)?
When you state: "MY way".....might it be more appropriate to let our Father through our Lord Jesus Christ "deal" with them....(since when (please provide scripture) is it a follower of Jesus Christ position to "deal" with anyone.) Might setting the example our Lord set( he offered his life...being slapped, beaten, tortured and killed)....be of most benefit, so others may follow the same course/example our Shepherd set?
Do you not agree, Mad, that PC Admin has posted some very appropriate scriptures to contemplate?
Christian love,
gogh
I see serious flaws in your argument. Firstly, Elijah was authorized to do and say what he did. He finished the scene by slaughtering the 450 prophets of Baal. When you can actually call down fire from heaven I suppose folks will sit up an take notice. Even Christ Jesus didn't call down fire from heaven. On the contrary, he chided his followers for even suggesting such a thing. So please don't use the Elijah story to justify a fiery tongue.
I'm curious about something. Did you talk like this when you approached people of other religions in the house-to-house work? Did Jesus commission his disciples to use your style when talking to those they wished to convert? Is there any bible passage in the NT which authorizes such brutal denunciation.
You asked if we ripped the pages about Elijah from our bibles. What about the scriptures that admin provided for you to consider? Are you going to completely ignore them?
as well as ridicule us for our efforts to obey
the King, this is MY way of dealing with them!
Darling, you can take your way to the highway if you're going to insist on it. Blasphemy against God and Christ can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the holy spirit will not be forgiven, in this system or the next.
“On this account I say to YOU, Every sort of sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the spirit will not be forgiven. For example, whoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the holy spirit, it will not be forgiven him, no, not in this system of things nor in that to come." -- Matthew 12:31-32
If the holy spirit is presently working to bring people to Christ Jesus as the only means of saving mankind, and you disrupt the work of the spirit by sarcasm and abusive speech then are you not putting yourself at risk to be so judged?
take care,
Rez
