good morning sis wolfie, and thank you for this beautiful 'offering.' :giverose:

concerning jeremiah 6:16, today's frenetic pace of life in this world doesn't allow for much 'rest for our souls,' does it? life in this present system can be summed up (imo) in one word: competition. whether it is a multi-tasking supermom; an adolescent stiving to be the best student, the best athlete, or ascend the pecking order in the local gang; or a father/mother who finds it necessary to climb the corporate ladder just to 'keep up' with the always-growing demands of life; ... right now, everyone eats, sleeps, and breathes competition as normally and naturally as they breathe the air.

this is all in contrast to the way of life delineated as our future in god and christ.

"find rest for your souls."

"there shall be no one making them tremble."

biblical phrases such as these are so appealing to us because they represent what we do not presently enjoy. personally, i say we can believe god when he says, "this is the way. walk in it." it is the way that will lead us into the realization of all of his promises to us, his earthly children.

Hi Iso :hibye:

Thank you so much for highlighting that scripture. It is one of my most favorite ever and it is so poetic. I believe there is the most beauty in that which is the most simple. :heartbeat:

''ask where the good way is
.....and walk in it.'' beautifully simple--uncomplicated...loving provision :heartbeat:
Dear Wolfie
thank you for gathering up those comfort scriptures. Puts me in mind of Jesus saying he is the living bread.
Isoman put it nicely:
"biblical phrases such as these are so appealing to us because they represent what we do not presently enjoy. personally."

Now my Dear bro Isoman.
you have no idea of the influence you had with me over in our last home.
I cherish the many scriptures you used.
Your quote at the bottom, was so assuring to me that I made the right move.
That move was leaving a man made organization.
This is what broke my chains of slavery.. (walking in spirit and in truth.John 4:24.:heartbeat:

Quote from Isoman:
, I say we can believe god when he says, "this is the way. walk in it." it is the way that will lead us into the realization of all of his promises to us, his earthly children.
