then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment,

1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

'Endurance' is a word that covers a lot of territory as we strive to imitate our Lord. But it's a good thing, for everything we're able to endure, with God's help, makes our Christian resolve to "bear all things" ever stronger.

Hebrews 12:2-3
fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

1 Corinthians 4:12
and we toil, working with our own hands; when we are reviled, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure;

James 5:11
We count those blessed who endured You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord's dealings, that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful.

:heartbeat: Matthew 10:22
"You will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved."

:heartbeat: Revelation 2:3
and you have perseverance and have endured for My name's sake, and have not grown weary.

:heartbeat: Revelation 3:10
'Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

May we all "endure to the end", to the glory of God and His Son, amen!

lovely scriptures---a couple :) of my favorites encouraging great trust that goes hand in hand with our faith. It was significant for me to realize trust is such an important component of a real true faith :heartbeat: :rose:

''We have troubles all around us, but we are not defeated.
We do not know what to do, but we do not give up the
hope of living. We are persecuted, but God does not
leave us. We are hurt sometimes, but we are not destroyed.'' :rose:
2 Corinthians 4: 8-9 :rose:

''Jesus said, ''Don't let your hearts be troubled. ''Trust in God, and trust in me.'' John 14:1 :rose:

''I will guide them along paths they have not known. :rose:
I will make the darkness become light for them, and
the rough ground smooth.'' Isaiah 42: 16 :rose:

So true, sis. I believe the 2 are so intertwined and inseperable that actually trust=faith! And we have every reason to trust in and have faith in our God and our Lord - they are GOOD and want the very best for all of us.

''We have troubles all around us, but we are not defeated.
We do not know what to do, but we do not give up the
hope of living. We are persecuted, but God does not
leave us.
We are hurt sometimes, but we are not destroyed.''
2 Corinthians 4: 8-9 That's just perfect! We need to "hold on tight" as sis E&E says, 'cause even if it is a bumpy ride, we know that God's holding on to us too!

:peace:

I dare say trust is the single most important thing we have to have for faith.

Without trust Adam and eve belived lies about the one who trully Loved them.
