hi abe :hibye:
i've been tracking alex through the weather channel. as many probably know, it made landfall in belize as a tropical storm and then was downgraded to a tropical depression. it is about to re-enter the gulf of mexico and is expected to re-strengthen to a category 1 or cat 2 hurricane by tuesday. there is a wide range of models as to its projected path. almost all of them, however, have alex tracking to the west of the oil spill area. many experts say that -- if that is the case -- the oil spill will be carried onshore by the storm surge. stay tuned as it plays our over this upcoming week. :coffeeread:

isomam,
Thanks for the update.
I am also worried about the methane that may be dissolved in the water being released by the storm surge.
Like shaking a can of pepsi-cola.
