How does it come, that the Watchtower Society doesn't apply the same doctrines when members of the Governing body die, as with celebration of birthdays ?
Are we not all Brothers and Sisters or Sons and Daughters in front of God and how can someone "prove himself faitfull into the death and have received the crown of life" ?
Isn't it solely up to God and His son as judge, to deciede who will be resurrected and inherit in the Kingdom or not ?
For sure the things he did and have done against Brothers, Sisters and their children, went right with him, but unfortunately the spirit continue, more or less, in the Tower!
Let the man Rest In Peace and may Gods mercy be with his and all our souls, since we know that God and Christ, as His judge, will make fair judgements.
No humans owns the right to judge anybody, since bloodguilty, molesters, fornicators and righteous, whatever we are in the eyes of God, will all get our reward as individuals in due time, in accordance to what we have done in life, whether it is good or evil things
I belive you don't get my point.
Members are not allowed to celebrate birthdays, because it will place a person higher than others
There was 2 negative episodes in connection with it in the Bible and how many birtday parties do you believe have been held in the whole world history without any killings.
There has been many conventions in the world history, where people have been killed and will it then also be negative to held conventions on basis of this events and facts ?
Why not and then celebrate birthday parties, especially for the kids and why not when it is about the most wonderfull gift a human can get, with a possibility to live forever.
What I meant was, that we are all brothers and sisters and sons and daughters and I would like to se a funeral brochure at one of the rank and file, 6000000:9 which also have been rightious during their lifetime but haven't been responsible for any doctrine, that have sent just a single individual into a premature death, or protected any child molester and shown disrespect for the higher authorities
May he Rest In Peace, since we all will be held responsible, whether we have done god or evil and this in full justness :giverose:
The revenge and reward belongs to Jehovah and His son Christ :ok:
It is of course not our business to judge anybody and let us take Christs examples to our hearts, which never condemned any singel individual, but merely as a group
Pauls words seems anyway to be wise and a good idea for all of us to follow, on a daily basis, reconcider our relation to God and Christ and not be like those, he warned us against in 2 Timothy 3:5
5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
As one wrote: Live your life the way you like to be remembered :giverose:

A really nice picture and inscription :ok:
Hi Wanadoo, I guess that's the positive spin on the church sign. True, we do not judge and we should not return evil for evil to anyone. I've been to some good funerals and pretty bad ones. I've given funerals myself and some to the irreligious when no one else wanted to since no one could think of anything good to say about them.
My point is that some who give funeral talks are powerless to tell the truth because so much is invested in the lie. Religions are famous for this, as you might even know, Catholicism being front and center to some pretty wonderful sendoffs to some pretty gruesome members of the mafioso.
So is it any wonder that we might do the same for our crime families?:dontknow: What I do know is this. There are many funerals I've attended where my eyes don't roll because the words were just as genuine as I knew the dearly departed had been.
:drinking:

I heartily agree, e-m! I was appalled likewise when my BIL passed away, a good and faithful Christian man who was doing his best to correct the JW Pharisees in his congregation. He was silently marked while dying of cancer and quietly denied the KH for a family funeral. Talk about exclusivity thinking! When all who knew him on the outside world saw what was done to him they shook their heads. What a fine witness that was!
What else can I say that hasn't been said? Groupthink is the infectious disease of all exclusive religionists who succumb to their own "present truth" drug.

Sincere love to you brothers, I really feel for you both!:heartbeat: Man made in God's image, treated as a lesser thing than a religion created by man.
When will religions admit that they have presumed to re-erect themselves as the curtain, which Jehovah tore in two at the death of the real source of salvation. They have as little compassion as the Exodus golden calf which they emulate (Exodus 32:1-4)

your missing the point aren't you. veneration of a GB at death. the elite of the GB whilest the rest of the anointed unknown to them their brothers not heard or have no say in anything theocratic, its an abomination and so are you for agreeing with it.

It is not a veneration is a remembering of a faithful servant.
Perharps some do venerate the Gb for the ongoing attack on them.
