Dear Brother's and Sisters in Christ,

Just this morning, the last few seconds before I opened my eyes, I heard the Holy Spirit speak three words.....

"THE PROPHET AMOS"

Interesting website Sis.... there was one thing that I took from it as great encouragement, something that I totally believe to be true: The Good Lord gave us not only individual free will, but also collective free will. If we look at all the prophecies, some of them forecast absolute gloom and doom with no hope for the survival of any flesh whatsoever, while others say things like "hide yourselves for a little while until the denunciation passes over". The people of Ninevah changed their own destiny.

Then there was the story in Genesis 18 of Abraham beseeching God to have mercy on Sodom on account of the "fifty", then "forty-five", then "forty" etc.... showing that God can "change his mind". Actually, quantum physics explains that there are infinite possible outcomes that God provides for, and lets US choose the one we want through our collective consciousness! (Just remember, that it doesn't take a "majority" to change the world, as only one person with a candle in a dark place can light up the whole room, while no amount of darkness can come in and drown out the light.)

Church of the Great God Wrote:
Amos clearly shows that our nations are headed along the same path to destruction as ancient Israel. There is still hope that we will turn around and avoid the wrath of God...

Actually, to KNOW God is to KNOW that when the Bible says "wrath of God", it is trying to explain to us, in human terms, the consequences of violating God's laws. Since God is Love, he cannot actually get "angry", as anger is a product of FEAR.

As I've said, the Bible as a METAPHOR is the ONLY way to make sense of it all without conflicts and contradictions, but that's just my .02.....

I have been praying hard, asking the Father to turn His anger from those who are ignorant, lost, the depressed, the unloved, the overworked poor living from pay check to paycheck. They are at the ropes end, while things keep getting piled upon their backs, and their knees are about to give out under the heavy weight. I pleaded with God that many who are ignorant, are that way because they have been lied to for so long, and weighed down so heavy with ever climbing bills from the oppressors(wolves). They have been lied to for so long by those on the top. It was all they knew. They have been tricked into fighting in wars for fake reasons. My heart aches for these people, who have thought they were helping their countries, another deceiving trick from satan.

They do not see that they are helping in making the bad carma, and reaping what they have sown come back to them. I feel sick inside for the children and families who have lost loves ones, and for the pain satan has put their children through from missing out on having a dad as they grew up. I was so touched this morning by this video below. Just the look on the child's face I could feel her pain, and I felt that this was such a needless waste and a sacrifice of a man's right to be with his family...all for nothing but the lie. I prayed for more and more to see through the lie, and to say they will not fight in these wars against their own any longer. I prayed hard for justice for the oppressed, and the oppressed are those who have been lied to and dominated harshly.

Amos prophesied about The gulf between rich and poor widened at that time. Amos was called from his rural home to remind the rich and powerful of God's requirement for justice.

He proclaimed that cultic observances without moral behaviour is not pleasing to God (5:21ff.), and prophesied that the kingdom of Israel would be destroyed. The oracle predicted that many of Israel's neighbors (including Damascus, Gaza, Tyre, Edom, Ammon and Moab),would suffer because they broke "the international moral code overseen by the Lord", and Judah and Israel would suffer the most because they knew God, yet rebelled .

Much of the prophecy of Amos is directed at the heartlessness of wealthy merchants who ignore the plight of the poor, the lack of justice for the righteous, and the emptiness of religious ritual apart from true faith.

This also includes the Watchtower Society, who have oppressed the poor. They have waited for "NEW LIGHT"? They will have to repent and sell everything and give it to the poor if they want to be healed. They have been on the receiving end of money and properties given to them for God's will. They have become wealthy merchants who ignore the plight of the poor.Is it not then God's right to ask what is his back to do what He wishes with it? He says to sell it and give it all to the poor. This is what is just, righteous, and the hope for their own restoration.

The prophecy of Amos is clear and direct. He ends his message with a proclamation of hope and restoration for the people of Israel if they mend their ways: "The days are coming, declares the LORD, when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes. New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills. I will bring back my exiled people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit. I will plant Israel in their own land, no more to be uprooted from the land I have given them, says the LORD your God. (Amos 9:13-15)
