Wildlife and livestock has also suffered with voluntary organizations in Gujarat reporting the deaths of bats and crows and dozens of peacocks reported dead at a forest reserve in Uttar Pradesh.

"Because of the heat, lakes and other water bodies have been reduced to parched land, making dehydration common in such birds," said Neeraj Srivastava, a wildlife campaigner.

Acts5v29

Isaiah 24
5The land and the earth also are defiled by their inhabitants, because they have transgressed the laws, disregarded the statutes, and broken the everlasting covenant.
6Therefore a curse devours the land and the earth, and they who dwell in it suffer the punishment of their guilt. Therefore the inhabitants of the land and the earth are scorched and parched [under the curse of God's wrath], and few people are left.

Revelation 9:8
And the fourth one poured out his bowl upon the sun; and to [the sun] it was granted to scorch the men with fire. 9 And the men were scorched with great heat, but they blasphemed the name of God, who has the authority over these plagues, and they did not repent so as to give glory to him.

It seems strange that Britain is claiming a heatwave with temperatures reaching 27C.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-stories...-22278281/

While temperatures in India are 46C and forecast to reach 50C!

50C is halfway to boiling!

Puts it in perspective.

There must've been a breeze there, though - from 'WikiAnswers' -

Quote:
The world record high temp happened in September of 1922 in El Azizia, Libya and the recorded temperature was a whopping 136 degrees F WOW!!

I can't imagine that kind of heat over a period of time - can you? "hell on earth" describes it pretty well!

This kind of things is expected to become more common with global warming.
Dear All

Now, I can much better understand my friend who said:

If this is the life, then I don't fear the Hell....:D

:drinking: :heartbeat: :cheekkiss:

Ps. When my friends and I was in the northern part of Greece in 1978, it was nearly 50 degrees Celsius. When I was in Athens some years later, it was also around 50 degrees and a lot of older people died due to the heat and dehydration, where it was so hot that the asphalt was boiling at the streets.

Some years ago in Rome where it was 46 degrees Celsius, not to forget in Damascus where it was around 52 degrees in the shaddow, like a :desert:
In Calgary, the mercury was 3 C at the dinner hour and it snowed for the first time in recorded history on this date.

My life's experience includes observation of similar weather "extremes" throughout the fifties to the seventies.

Its a shame the ideology of capitalism has blinded some to the actual scientific evidence for global warming. I guess thats the power of propaganda.
Re: "It is a boy Mrs........"

Remember?...No; but I do remember being really cold all of a sudden...:D :crybaby::crybaby:
There are always extremes in the weather every so often. The fact that this winter just gone was one of the coldest in certain places on the globe for a long time doesn't negate that in other places it was unseasonably hot. The trick is to take readings from all over the world, for a long period of time, to calculate the global average temperature to see if there is any trend, and guess what there is. Climatologists don`t look out of the window and see snow then conclude the earth must be getting colder, just and they don`t look out of the window in India to see its very hot and conclude global warming is true. Unfortunately thats how some seem to think its done.

More common for weather extremes doesn't mean that in the recent past extremes didn't happen. Understand!
