:help: I'm looking for a picture that appeared in the Awake magazine (maybe the WT....not absolutely sure) years ago.
It was a really sweet pic of a mother monkey gazing into the eyes of her baby. I had searched for it in the past but was unable to locate it. Now I have even fewer resources, having disposed of all my old magazines.
I would be delighted if someone could tell me where to find it. It was one of my favorite animal shots.

Check out the picture in the article "Monkey Sense" in the October 8,1991 issue of Awake. Maybe that is the one you are looking for.

Now I just have to find a source that has pictures. We totally burned all our old bound volumes and the WT CD library doesn't have pics.

hmmm I think I may have that volume. I just got a batch of some 1980's era volumes but havent had time to look
How ironic... your burned your volumes and I have been purchasing old volumes of for my collection off the internet the internet. Well actually just paying for the postage.
(I used to save all my mags and keep them thus never having t purchases the bound volume.. but when I left my mom's house I left all that behind me. )
Well, Luci, I have some 'splainin' to do.:D The paper in some of the older mags was susceptible to mildew and mold and we had to move out of a house we were renting because of black mold which was seriously making me sick. We lost a lot of books.
Otherwise you would have been welcome to them. :cheekkiss: I use the CD library for speed and mold-free operation.
If you come across an absolutely adorable picture of a mother monkey holding her baby with sweet eye-contact....that's the one I'm looking for. It would be very helpful to know which mag I'm looking for. I have a friend who might be able to scan it for me.

I've read of people who burned their Wt lit cuz they wanted nothing to do with anything WT or JW related.
(Speaking of black mold... I've got some in my bathroom... really gross:shocked:).
I have the CD library (2007) and I do agree that it's faster but I like having the volumes... I kind of get nostalgic for the old WTs from the 60's ... )

Do be careful about the black mold. It can spread relentlessly. I used to use bleach whenever there were visible signs. My eyes would itch unbearably when the mold colonies bloomed. I could have dug them (my eyes) out.:P

PS....I did feel a bit relieved to get rid of most of my WT literature. We had so many duplications....just buried in it. The thing I love about the CD library is the marginal references in the bible. Just hovering over the M's brings up the related scriptures....INSTANTLY! But I still love to hold God's Word in my hands and read. Such a treasure!:read::love:
