Geoffrey Robertson, a renowned human rights lawyer and United Nations jurist, wants to see Pope Benedict put on trial for allegedly protecting predator priests.

In a Guardian UK piece making its rounds this week in Catholic circles, Robertson demanded the pope be "put in the dock" so that the church might "feel the full weight of international law" over its thousands of pedophilia scandals.

The pope's conduct, he said, "amounted to the criminal offence of aiding and abetting sex with minors," making Benedict a justifiable target for either the International Criminal Court or a British court acting under the legal principal of universal jurisdiction.

Everything is falling into place now. Its one person now, but the harbinger as more and more will join in, and the harlot will become devastated, naked and burned up. This is God's will for the beast to rise for a just a short time.

Once this happens, it will also become clear to the world that JW's also are included in with the Catholics as aiding and abetting children to be raped and abused.

As I live in Italy, I have been reading and hearing news programmes regarding this scandal every day. The Church heirarchy is defending with its very teeth, Papa Ratzinger (and therefore all those paedofile priests) but, least they are trying to make amends for their neglect, and have at least apologised for their indifference, and paid out large sums, unlike the WT heirarchy who continue to deny anything bad going on in its ' paedophile paradise'. :barf: I imagine most religious entities are also involved in this form of perversion. Instead of protecting their flock, they fleece it. Nothing will be hidden forever though.. :thinking: I do so wish though, that the justice department could get their hands on that list of (23,000 or more?) paedophile names hidden well within the walls of the WT headquarters, so that the WT society be ' put in the dock' and ' might feel the full weight of international law' over its thousands of paedophile scandals. :(:cry: How can they point their dirty finger at the Church, when they know they have been doing the same? The only reason the Roman Catholic Church is getting burned for this in a big way and the Watchtower Society is getting away scott free is this.

The Roman Catholic Church is utterly complicit in hiding and protecting paedophiles to the endangerment of children but the Watchtower Society are not.

Don't believe the hype. The Watchtower have an great policy in force that prevents this kind if situation occurring in the first place.

It seems that the UN is turning on false religion just like Jehovah's Witnesses have been saying would happen all along.

Its not too late to come back and make your peace with Jehovah.

No one else has been saying that the UN would turn on the world religions in this way. That is because Jehovah's Witnesses truly have God's spirit directing them. Even if they don't always follow its directions perfectly.

I know from personal experience that congregations have hidden many sexual crimes and perversions but if you don't know then you don't know....christian love--wolfie...

I'm not saying that it hasn't happened. I am saying that it was never an institutionalised policy.

That is what the Catholic Church is being decimated for.

does it make it better that they knew many of their men were abusing children and they were not dealt with and continued to go up through the ranks of Jehovah's Witnesses? Does it make it better that parents were told Not to press charges against these men who molested their children as ''Christians don't take thier brothers to court?"" and ''that making this public will ruin the reputation of local congregations?'' Does it make it better that these men continued to lead the congregation--represent them in prayer--and carry on while the children were sacrificed, wibble? Does it make it better that they used scripture to twist the two witnesses rule?

You wouldn't defend them wibble if you knew what things have been done. It is indefensible wibble and I know and that is why I believe that you don't--can't--really know what I know or you wouldn't have a defense for them...

Regarding Babylon ... and his "daughter" ( WTBTS ) the proverb may be fulfiled :

How could the "daughter" be likened to her "mother" , if the "mother" is not "unveiled" ?

I have no interest in defending individuals who have done wrong.

But we're not talking about individuals here, we are talking about institutions.

The Roman Church is complicit as an institution. This is not true of the WBTS.

dear wibble--I have talked to others who are determined not to see the truth of what has happened at the highest level in the organization--and it is always to no avail. I can't make you see and understand what you can't see or accept. I used to wonder what was wrong with Catholics and then sadly I had to ask what was wrong with Jehovah's Witnesses. It's not so different wibble--be careful what you support and stand up for--you may get a very big surprise. I think you mean well for us and are genuinely concerned tho.
