:questioning:OK you guys - who sent me the book "Because the Time Is Near" [Explains the Book of Revelation] by John MacArthur?

Was it you, Wayne? :friends: Lol, I suspect you only because you've sent me books in the past! :present: There was no note, but the return address is Applecorbooks, Houston, Texas - and I've forgotten where you live!

:dontknow: Whoever did, I received it today and send you back a sincere "thank you" before reading it. Looks interesting! :coffeeread:

Thanks again, my 'secret book pal', lol! :airkiss:

:peace:

:haha:  Too funny! It wasn't me. :innocent:

Blithe.:giggle:

Lol at Blithe - well, at least I know it wasn't you!

C'mon - fess up - who sent it? :read: I would like to properly address my "thank you" to my benefactor. ;)
Hi Willa, I'm a fessin up girl:D

I ordered it straight from Amazon to you and couldn't PM you to let you know it was on it's way!

Enjoy my dear :friends: I got one for myself too. I'm only about 10-15 pages in so far. I have a John Mc study bible and I really like his notes.

But he's a Calvinist so I don't see eye to eye with Him on some areas
(ex: rom 9-11).

Hopefully that doesn't skew things to much but over all it should be a great read!:coffeeread:

We can compare notes sometime in the future but I must admit I have a few too many books on the go right now:D

(Note to Blithe if your readin:D ) these 2 books below are my faves esp " the Messiah in the feasts of Israel " it laid a Jewish backdrop at the time of Jesus for reading the scriptures making reading these passages as if anew!!

Thanks , I'll put them on my list.I enjoy all the books you recommend!

I'm expecting bookreports from both of you!

Blithe

Ah ha! I shoulda just said "Thank you, Wayne!" - 'cause no one else has ever sent me a book, lol!

I went right to the Babylon the Great chapters - haven't read anything too off the wall yet, lol. (If you wanna read some really odd stuff, there's always that red "Revelation - The Climax is at Hand" book - on second thought, nah - it's an extreme waste of time) Revelation seems to be subjective to every readers' preconceived ideologies though - even mine - you can't escape that, really.

My email is :Dwillasgrin@yahoo.com - you can email me anytime, Wayne. We can compare notes. ;)

THANK YOU!
:airkiss:
My favorite commentary on Revelation is: George Eldon Ladd - A Commentary on the Revelation of John.

It's really good. He's a partial preterist, partial futurist but is level headed about everything. Even guys who don't hold to many of his views have acknowledged that it's a good commentary.

Much of it can be read here from Google books.
Ah your like me I got the Messiah in the feasts of Israel and went straight to the last chapters that dealt with the feast of tabernacles then got around to the rest.:D

Hey I have an original copy of the "finished mystery" it's good for a howl " this represents this pope and that pope " a commentary not on the meaning of passages really just Charlie's thoughts.

It would be fun to look at each passge from both those books side by side:confused::shocked::confused:

I still have a " Messiah in the feasts book " I'll send ya at some point. When I get over my procrastinating making a trip to the post office :bubblegum:( I love Amazon click and it's on it's way! )

You are quite welcome enjoy the :read:

Blessings

Wayne
