here's the deal John. In theory that should work. However, in zeal a problem presented itself when each and every thread was taken over by One topic and at the time it was the trinity. Threads were being hi-jacked all the time. Requests were made to please not do that--stick to the topic and please don't interrupt others. (That was my panda bear ford truck analogy :D.)..the love needs to flow in Both directions--I Do want peace in all aspects of my life. I live a mannerly and orderly life. I am not sure what others want but I have looked in on discussion boards where peace is non-existent and they are awfully tough places to be. I am simply presenting what I see as the other side of the pancake. Even a flat one has two sides you know--all with love John :heartbeat: for truly that is the only valuable thing there is... :heartbeat:

It IS so very hard isn't it to stand up for what you believe in ... to be strong in zeal as was our Lord in the temple ... and yet do it in such a way as to not seek to alienate nor hurt ... to try to not come across as pushy or a know-it-all ...
However, one thing that I keep asking myself is ... if I have started a topic or contributed to one ... and I see that my view may be causing a real problem is why would I keep on pushing the matter ...? Is that the loving thing to do ...?
In the case of this thread it was supposed to be about THE BIBLE ... and whether or not we WORSHIP it ... and then ... as you said ... it got changed into the same 'discussion' that was on another thread ... forget the name right now ... about the SPIRIT ...
Not that the two don't go together, but to INSIST that those who seek to live by the good words that are in the Bible ... people who have made TREMENDOUS POSITIVE CHANGES in their lives from reading it ... who are COMFORTED by the hope that are found in the letters of Jesus' apostes ... are somehow 'worshipping it' and taking away from the Holy Spirit is I feel needed to be addressed not only for those saying it by also to reaffirm to ourselves 'why' and 'how' we are viewing it ...
Oh ... won't it be good when all things are 'made new' ... when 'true and real light' is shining over the whole world ... when we are ONE with our earthly and spiritual family!!

Friends , I really think we need to stop.. This isn't true John--The spirit of the mods IS NOT to have hate and no one would stone anyone--it is a sadness to me to hear that some may feel this way. This thread has gone on and on and so much has been said and some damage has been done. Anyone who cares about this place has to have a very heavy heart.
Well obviously wolfie the stoning part is hyperbole BUT the spirit of what Malkah said is true and i believe it applies to most of the mods.

we also enjoy the constitutionally-guaranteed "right to bear arms." but that "right" doesn't give any person the right to open fire from an ak-47 indiscriminately into a crowd. when anyone -- anyone -- is firing burning missiles into a crowd for any motive whatsoever, they must be stopped. then, after they have been stopped, the actions may appropriately be sorted out legally, judicially, and morally.

It’s very sad to see this happen again. The last time we had to go through this was October of 2007. At that time a prediction was made by Lynn and Anthony that, if we didn’t allow the board to move ahead (in the direction prescribed by them) that the Paradise Cafe would wither and die.
We were asked to make a public announcement on their behalf, which we did. Things were quiet, with the occasional blip, for some time.
As manirus brought out, Anthony found a way around his banning and came back as justin. Lynn asked to have her membership re-activated and we complied. We wondered though, why they would want to return to a board that they felt was misdirected and spiritless. But we were trying to be fair.
We leave it to the members to decide for themselves whether Lynn and Justin have been working for the peace and prosperity of the board, or, whether they wish for their prophesy to come true. In this vein we’re including a sample PM (with permission, of course) from one of our oldest and dearest members.
Nobody asked for my opinion, but I think I will give it to you anyway. For whatever it's worth, I think justin and lynn have only one intention in being here. They want so desperately to see this board destroyed, they are intent on bringing that about by any means they can think of. So (imo) they are seeking to divide the board into camps (it's kinda working, isn't it?) with the ultimate goal of watching the board tear itself apart.
Please don't let them succeed in their efforts.
This is only one of the messages we received.
Sometimes we have to make a hard decision. Do we want peace on the board? Can we find a balance between freedom of expression and repression. After all, every household has to have standards of behavior. It has to have boundaries. It’s not our wish to have to spell out what these might be as a list of rules. But we are a family of sorts, are we not?
Some are unhappy at the way things are done here to maintain peace, and we are unhappy that they are unhappy. Some things can’t be helped.
Here’s hoping that everyone who feels a part of the PC family will exercise love and patience in dealing with each other.
