Paradise Cafe Discussions - A Place For Bible Research And Christian Encouragement

Part One:

There was a strange atmosphere in the garden that night as newlyweds George and Cat sat around the camp fire, talking about the plans to have their first child. They were so happy, all their desires and dreams were coming true in each other and in their plans for the future. The stars twinkled against velvet sky. The moon shone, lighting up wisps of cirrus clouds, dominating the nights sky but then it happened! The couple were gripped by fear and wonder in a feeling of ambivalence, biblical in its proportions. God himself suddenly appeared to them in a blinding white light rapped by 12 legions of angels, 60 thousand singing praises of the most beautiful song. Then after a short wile the angels fell silent and the air seemed still seeming not even to breeze anymore. George and Cat felt faint, but then God began to speak.

"In a world of confusion and twilight I created you, and your prayers for blessing have reached as far as heaven and been heard by I myself! A fence and hedge I have erected about your feet. When you Cat, were bitten by a mosquito infected with a fatal virus I cast that virus out of your body, without you even knowing. When George you would have died in a car accident on route 42, I created a traffic jam in its place to protect you. In a world bidden by poverty I have showered upon you material blessings only dreamed by kings a single generation ago. Now here I stand in answer to your prayers for a child. Nothing at all have you been in want for! Suffering has passed away from before you both. Now you ask, a child, and it is granted! A child you have already conceived in you womb oh Cat, and George a father you now are, like I myself am of the whole earth and all its inhabitants, whom I have known before any of them were as yet conceived. I knew all their formation and all the days of their lives then were yet future and I created them all from generations of eons past to those of days yet to come for the Alpha and Omega I am!

Your child will be born henceforth in nine moths, and I give you choice to bless your child as I have blessed you! Not one prayer that you have prayed have I not actively answered? Even in a world such as the way the earth is, with suffering to make one faint did I ignore your words. Even when others around you and in the world had the cosmic deck deal them a bad hand did I not fail to stack thy deck in though favor because I am God and to whom I wish to bless I bless, and to whom i wish to curse I curse, and to whom I am silent I am silent, and to whom I wish to talk I talk!

Pay close attention my next words oh George and Cat, and marvel for the choice I am about give thee concerning the child of blessings that i have blessed thee with!"

God went on to utter the script of their child's life and to offer George and Cat an amazing choice:

"I God tell ye that your child, a daughter, will have a learning disability in grade school and that reading will be easy for the other children around her but not for your child. Your child will press through this after much struggle. In high school your daughter will make a close and wonderful circle of friends but then one of them will be diagnosed with cancer, and die breaking your daughters heart. After this, your daughter will go on to get into the college of her dreams, but while there she will experience a terrible car accident and lose one of her legs, and then go on to develop a difficult depression. She will manage to get past that and then go out into the world and land the job of her dreams working to help other disabled people, but in an economic downturn she will lose that job. As she is searching for a new job she will meet the spouse of her dreams and go on to get married. By the age of 35 your child will incredible wise. Your child and spouse will have ten years of incredible happiness producing two children of their own, until her husband has an affair due to feeling neglected by the time and energy she spends on looking after the children. She forgives him and they ultimately heal the relationship, but not before the damage it causes in the family environment creates behavioral difficulty's in one of the children. In the end this to will get healed. By fifty years of age your child will be helping to council married couples with their relationship problems, and be of incredible value to her friends due to her empathetic spirit.

Thus is the script of your unborn child's life. Here! take the script from my hand. Take also this eraser and edit the script! Change anything you want!"
