Hello all.
For those of you who liked
Planet Earth, the BBC and Discovery will begin airing
Life this coming week, Sunday, March 21. There should be plenty of beasties on display.
Blessed be Jehovah, Creator of such a wonderfully diverse and beautiful home for us.

I too am happy happy about this :cheer:
Thanks for the info
Hi,
It was very good, but we are still waiting for HD on freeview up here. So I look forward to looking at it again then in HD.
I don't know how they will replace David Attenborough, when he goes to meet, or does not meet, a maker (as the case may be)!
Derek
apparently Oprah Winfrey is narrating the ones starting Sunday. :dontknow: There may very well be two editions of them as there was for Planet Earth. I think David Attenbourough does a fabulous job also Derek
Hi Wolfie and Derek.
I too was saddened to see that Discovery again decided to air a different audio version. Although Sigourney Weaver did a nice job, David Attenborough has one of the classic voices in TV. Perhaps I'll watch the Oprah version on mute, and wait for the Blu-ray to hear David's narration.
Anyway, I'm glad to hear your positive review, Derek. Now I'm really looking forward to it.

Hi Wolfie and Slave for Jah,
I do not know whether or not it is on generally release, but there was a very good series on the BBC last year with the British wildlife photographer, Simon King. He, his wife and quite young preschool daughter were in the series, they were spending a year in the Shetland Islands, looking at, and filming wildlife.
Both the better half and I thought it excellent and the added family warmth with the child and parents taking part, made it seem much better than most wildlife films.
best wishes for good viewing
Derek
