Witnesses up 2% followed by Mormons, Church of God, and Catholics. Is God blessing them all?

“Numbers†may show a decrease or increase in attendees, but I question the spiritual meaning of these numbers. For example in the pre-1975 era JWs showed a huge increase in numbers. Why? Well, the post-1975 decrease indicates there were extenuating circumstances for the increase and the decrease: organizational manipulation of the masses based on a false hope.
The WT’s end of the world scenario caused the weak and spiritually unsure to hop to and get on the bandwagon to save their mortal souls while many of the same group bailed after nothing happened. (or - spiritually astute ones bailed after seeing through the ruse) .
Gains or decreases in numbers must be looked at pragmatically. Decrease? Where did they go? Increase? Why did they come in? I believe that “decrease†could be a good thing when it’s the result of persons finding real spirituality and exiting apart of any religious organizations. Worshipping the Father in spirit and truth is what it’s all about, and “numbers†do not show quality - only quantity.
The WT continues to hammer on the "fall of Babylon" as the harbinger of the End.
When will persons ever learn…

With the Witnesses, showing growth (to prove Jehovah is with them) is an important thing, so once each year there's a push to get people to count some time (by any means), just to get counted for something. And in fact, I believe that they recently changed their method for counting to inflate the figures.
Also, even those that show growth aren't keeping up with population growth. So, they are all really declining percentage wise.

That was the true agenda behind getting the elderly and infirm to count time in 15 minute increments.
Gotta bolster the stats; can't have God's True Religion flagging on the numbers.
Might look bad.

Yep, and a lot of people who do nothing at all are told, "Surely you have at least AN HOUR that you can count!" Saw a lot of that.
