The Tall Old Rickety House
I was looking for an old lady I once knew.
I knew she lived in this tall narrow 3 story old house. I was gone away for along time, so I wanted to stop by and check and see how she was.
So I knocked, but no one answered, and when I knocked, the door squeeked open slowly, so I went in to find her. I called out to her, but she did'nt answer. So I walked up her stairs, and the wood of the stairs was creeky and rotten. I got to the almost top step, and I fell through the floor, back down to the bottom. I landed in pile of old dusty watchtower and awake magazines. All I knew is that I had to get out of there fast, because the place was unsafe.
I will break down your wall right to its foundation, and when it falls, it will crush you. Then you will know that I am the LORD. Ezekiel 13:14
Jeremiah 14:15 "Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the prophets who are prophesying in My name, although it was not I who sent them-- yet they keep saying, 'There will be no sword or famine in this land '-- by sword and famine those prophets shall meet their end!
Exodus 34:12-16
12 Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land where you are going, or they will be a snare among you. 13 Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones and cut down their Asherah poles. 14 Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.
15 "Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land; for when they prostitute themselves to their gods and sacrifice to them, they will invite you and you will eat their sacrifices. 16 And when you choose some of their daughters as wives for your sons and those daughters prostitute themselves to their gods, they will lead your sons to do the same.
