I'm writing a book about exJehovah's witnesses. It is mainly about people's experiences living as a witness and their experiences leaving the Watchtower or being disfellowshipped.
Stories I'm looking for are growing up as a witness, disfellowshipping cases, child abuse cases, blood issue stories and any other usual experiences.

I need ten stories. I have five so far and I would really like if someone from here would share there experience. I have shared everything with you. I never hold back from what I'm thinking or feeling. My own story will be part of this book.

This past week I've been wondering how your book was coming along, Chuck - was going to ask and now here you are!
Well, I'd share my story, but it isn't much of one - 'fading' is a big bore - typical/anti-typical anti-climactic stuff! They haven't even df'd me yet, and it's now been 8+ years of meeting no-shows. What are they waiting for? Even the elders view my opinions as 'apostate from The Truth'.... I'm as gone as gone can be, lol.
I hope you find what you're wanting for the book, Chuck. Check around the board - MelancholyMuse - Tami - was df'd for apostacy with no chance of being reinstated - she would've had to renounce what she knew was true and go back to believing their lies - hers is a good story if you ask me!

Here's what I find interesting..
The younger generation have no idea how serious the act of becoming a partnership with the UN was..The last quote the WT made against the UN was before they became a NGO. that was in 1991. So what do we have here.?
We have a generation that was maybe 10 years old then, who are now in their late twenties /early thirties , who have no idea just how offenseive this move was to Jehovah.
My granddaughter had a visit just about six weeks ago, by a elder and wife.
she was told they were working the territory and asked if she would consider restudying and coming back to the meetings.
No she replied she would not, she was asked why, so she said she felt she was faced with making a decision.
What was that ? ,she was asked.
She replied," when the WT became friends with the UN I felt I had to leave.
The elder said ," you know the UN does do a lot of good, while the sister kept nodding her head yes, in agreement , while this young elder spoke well of the UN." So the love of the greater number that know Jehovah has cooled off.
Yet they dare hold the name "Jehovah's witnesses, yet they have no idea who HE really is, Its those who hate what He hates that really know Him.
James 4:4-5 (Amplified Bible) reads
You [are like] unfaithful wives [having illicit love affairs with the world and breaking your marriage vow to God]! Do you not know that being the world's friend is being God's enemy? So whoever chooses to be a friend of the world takes his stand as an enemy of God.

The thing that has been our protection has been this ,we formally belonged to this cong,
but moved out of state for two years , then moved back, but never had our cards sent back to this present cong.so we cant be D/F if we don't belong. There are about fifteen that have walked away , just by slowly drifting.
What they (this cong ) does now if your absent from the meetings for several years you are marked by most in the cong as if you were dead. d/f without announcement

I know this isn't what your looking for Chuck, but it does show the twisted minds that are controlling minds.
No man from God would ever break up marriages and families. Then to say they do it in behalf of protecting Jehovah's name.
That evil slave has brought more reproach on Gods name then Christendom ever has.
