I must say I certainly could never see a Jesus returning in the flesh... that creates problems that cannot be solved. such as "I go away and the world seeth me no more"... not to mention that He laid down His flesh once for all in order to purchase Adam and his children back from the sentence of death. If His flesh rises again, the ransom goes unpaid... He was put to death in the flesh (His humanity) and was raised a quickened spirit (being). This was shown in the Tabernacle as the bullock standing for His humanity. It was consumed on the altar... the priest then moving into and under the second vail represented Him as the resurrected Lord. He came out in the garments of beauty (Lev 16: 23-24).

Hi Jon..

The scripture you quoted about the 'world will see me know more' must be looked @ in context.. because another scripture writes: 'every eye will see him'. Let's look @ John 14:17 - 19

"the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live."

The apostles can see him again, as he comes in the holy spirit that is promised to them @ Pentecost. But the world @ that time would not be able to see him because they are not spiritual persons.. That is all he was saying. He wasn't saying that nobody EVER would see him again.

Also addressing your idea about how Jesus had to only die once or the ransom would be useless.. Well, who says he will ever die again or have to be sacrificed again if he was here as a human and brought in the new Kingdom?

I beg to differ.. and say, if he is sacrificed to death again, that this would be redundant as the the sacrifice was ALREADY paid.

Please note: Heb. 9:28
'so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.'
