''And he came to Nazareth, where he had been reared; and, according to his custom on the sabath day, he entered into the synagogue, and he stood up to read.'' Luke 4:16 :rose: :rose:

Interesting to me in my research of this scripture was the mention that the custom was for any and all to share in the reading--and normally from a sitting position. Making a point of Jesus standing to read is interperted as an anxiousness or eagerness on his part to do the reading this particular day. Perhaps there were changes going on in him  :rose: :rose:

''So the Devil, having concluded all the temptation, retired from him until another convenient time.'' Luke 4:13 :rose: :rose:

''Now Jesus returned in the power of the spirit into Galilee. And good talk concerning him spread out through all the surrounding country.''
(Luke 4:14) :rose: :rose:

''Also, he began to teach in their synagogues, being held in honor by all.'' (Luke 4:15) :rose: :rose: :rose:

''And he came to Nazareth, where he had been reared; and according to his custom on the sabbath day, he entered into the synagogue, and he stood up to read.'' (16) :rose: :rose:

''So the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed him, and he opened the scroll and found the place where it was written: (17) :rose:

''The spirit of Jehovah is upon me, because he anointed me to declare good news to the poor, he sent me forth to preach a release to the captives and a recovery of sight to the blind, to send the crushed ones away with a release, (18) :rose:

to preach Jehovah's acceptable year.'' (19) :rose:

''With that he rolled up the scroll, handed it back to the attendant and sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were intently fixed upon him.'' (20) :rose:

''Then he started to say to them: ''Today this scripture that you heard is fulfilled.'' (21) :rose: :rose:

''And they all began to give favorable witness about him and to marvel at the winsome words proceeding out of his mouth, and they were saying: ''This is the son of Joseph, is it not?'' (22) :rose:

Truly Jesus showed himself to be the Son of God and the Savior of Men. As the scriptures show he came with all the gifts and power of God and spoke with grace--I am sure it was amazing  :rose:

''And after coming into his home territory he began to teach them in their synagogue, so that they were astounded and said: ''Where did this man get this wisdom and these powerful works?'' Matt. 13:54
