Clothe yourselves with love.--Col. 3:14 :rose:

''Accordingly, as God's chosen ones, holy and loved, clothe yourselves with the tender affections of compassion, kindness lowliness of mind, mildness, and long-suffering.'' (Col. 3:12) :rose:

''Continue putting up with one another and forgiving one another
freely if anyone has a cause for complaint against another. Even as God freely forgave you, so do you also.'' (13) :rose: :rose:

''But besides all these things, clothe yourselves with love, for it is a perfect bond of union.'' (14) :rose: :rose:

''Also, let the peace of the Christ control in your hearts, for you were, in fact, called to it in one body. And show yourselves thankful.''
(15) :rose: :rose:

''Let the word of the Christ reside in you richly in all wisdom. Keep on teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, praises to God, spiritual songs with graciousness, singing in your hearts to God. (16)
:rose: :rose:

''And whatever it is that you do in word or in work, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, thanking God the Father through him.''
(17) :rose: :rose:

and finally tonight :heartbeat: some words on Love :heartbeat: :rose:

''Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous,
it does not brag, and it is not proud. Love is not rude, :rose:
it is not selfish, and does not get upset with others.
Love does not count up wrongs that have been done.
Love is not happy with evil but is happy with the truth. :rose:
Love patiently accepts all things. It always trusts,
always hopes, and always remains strong.''
1 Cor. 13: 4-7.......familiar scriptures to be sure--but always
a beautiful reminder of what Godly love looks like :heartbeat:

and lots of love to you all :heartbeat: :grouphug:

i treasure that expression "clothe yourselves with love." just as our clothing covers our warts, wrinkles and whatever other defects we may carry, so too does 'the love of the christ' -- which he has allowed us to carry within us so that it literally can emanate from us too -- help cover over and diminish whatever flaws of character or personality we may still be struggling to overcome. so, clothed with love, that's all others see about us. (well, in theory anyway.) for me, it paints a beautiful portrait of the person i am striving to become, day by day, in little tiny baby steps.

as always, thanks ever so much wolfie for your labors of ... love. :giverose:
