Last night I recieved the call no one wants.....a dear friend has died.Cry

He was truley a gentle and loving man, one who was genuine and always kind. I have known him since I was a kid. His family and he had moved out of state years ago, but 3 yrs ago he and his wife moved back to Indiana. He had retired and they bought their dream place...a little farmstead to raise organic foods and angora goats. He was so full of life, such a glow! How could we have known he would have a massive heart attack? His family got him to the hospital, but they could not save him.Sad Why does it always seem to be the precious ones who have to leave? He was one of the few at the Kingdom Hall who I looked foreward to seeing. I will really miss him. He is in the sleeping car now. Someone once shared with me that they viewed our lives as a train ride. We are all on our way to Jehovahs Kingdom, our final destination. Some must go to the sleeping cars for the rest of the trip, but when we all arrive, and the Kingdom is here, our Lord will wake them! Come, Lord Jesus!

Please pray for his dear wife, Julia, and his family.Heartbeat
You have my prayers, and so does Julia,
I adore angora goats, let's hope Julia can survive.

Hello brother jayme:

So sorry for the loss of your dear friend. We all have quite a few friends and family on that same train, sleeping until Jesus tells them to come on out! He'll have a new "farmstead" to share with Julia, forever. Giverose

Sad My condolences, brother. That awful 'sting' of death is worse the more you love...Heartbeat Though we're parted from those we've loved so, we still don't mourn without hope - we have wonderous hope in our Lord and our God! PrayFor He(Jesus) was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God. 1 Peter 1:20, 21

That's a lovely, peaceful analogy.Giverose

jayme, i am so sorry to hear your sad news. i grieve with you. really, about all we have to offer one another is comfort and support in difficult times, while we await the presence of our lord, king, and saviour, jesus christ. try to continue to be encouraged and not discouraged. you encourage me by showing continued christian advancement. quite likely, you will be in the best position to comfort julia as time goes on. my prayers are for you, julia, and all of the extended family to find comfort in the wonderful promises from our great god.

So difficult for me right now, Jayme. I have too many friends dying and who have died, I don't want to think about it and I've held back from expressing genuine feelings online since online is so difficult for me. Tragedy is depressing for the living yet peaceful for the dead and sometimes I long for that peace.....just peace with no pain.Cry But that's me, and I can only pray daily for all those suffering loss like yours but if you can only just remember the peace that surpasses all living, caring, loving and dying.

Love,

sw

In times like these we really understand just how much we need the Ransom. May that sure and true hope comfort all in our dark hours.

HugTake comfort my dear bro. SW.....for LOOK!:

"Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be His peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

"Look! I am making all things new."..... "these words are faithful and true."

"Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died." John 11:21

Jesus in case you have forgotten all about us, here is a reminder of what you can do and won't (Still)

Dear Jay!
I cannot lessen your pain anymore, maybe what I say will make it worse and forgive me if you are more hurt than soothed.
But me I can soothe only through the scalpel

Sorry for your loss, JaymeGiverose

well the memorial service was today at the kingdom hall.

Has anyone else noticed that JW funerals are strange, not very comforting? Maybe its just the ones I've been to.

Todays service wasnt much of a memorial, more like preaching to a captive audiance. Maybe thats what his family wanted. Don't Know
