Today's verses are a lesson in the importance of peace--and the strength and power of love-a power strong enough to change the world as it changes hearts and motivations, actions and reactions--and attitudes... :heartbeat: :rose:

''You heard that it was said, ''Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.'' (38) :rose:

''However, I say to you: Do not resist him that is wicked; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other also to him; (40) :rose:

''Give to the one asking you, and do not turn away from one that wants to borrow from you. (42) :rose:

''that you may prove yourselves sons of your Father who is in the heavens, since he makes his sun rise upon wicked people and good and makes it rain upon righteous people and unrighteous. (45) :rose:

''For is you love those loving you, what reward do you have?'' Are not also the tax collectors doing the same thing?'' (47) :rose:

''And if you greet your brothers only, what extraordinary thing are you doing? Are not also the people of the nations doing the same thing?'' (48) :rose:

''You must accordingly be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.'' (48) :rose:

''If you should lend money to my people, to the afflicted alongside you, you must not become like a usurer to him. You must not lay interest upon him.
''Exodus 22: 26 :rose:

''If you should at all seize the garment of your fellow as a pledge; you are to return it to him at the setting of the sun.'' Ex. 22:27.... :rose:

contrary to most it takes a great strength to interact with others in such a refined and loving way--and it is a gift from God and Christ to see the value in doing so-- :rose:

''The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control'' Galations 5: 22,23 :rose:

''I am leaving you with a gift--peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid.'' John 14:27 :rose:
