Just a question before I log for the night. I saw it once on here, but here's the question: though in Revalations, it calls Satan the original serpent, in Genesis 3:1 it says that the serpent was the most cunning of all the wild beasts, and was cursed when Adam and Eve were caught. Is it possible that the serpent was being lead by Satan in his actions like an instrument, rather than the devil himself? :read:
Howdy serafina,
Re: " Is it possible that the serpent was being lead by Satan in his actions like an instrument,..."
This seems to be the case serafina. The serpent was used by Satan similar to how a dummy is used by a ventriloquist. A similar account, where a donkey was used in this same fashion is mentioned at 1 Peter 22:28...
" Finally Jehovah opened the mouth of the ass and she said to Balaam: “What have I done to you so that you have beaten me these three times?â€
(1 John 4:1...)
"Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God, because many false prophets have gone forth into the world."

You know...I never thought about it, but you might have a point. I was always, always taught that the serpent was Satan in disguise , but God didn't call him that, he cursed his off spring to be crushed under the heels of women and to eat dust...and God doesn't seem like the type to make mistakes, lol.
That leaves me to wonder, was the serpent himself tempted, and by what?
