Dear Brothers and Sisters,
A number of posters have been hitting the "reply" button found at the bottom right hand side of each post. This duplicates the entire post, including "nested posts" sometimes resulting in reams of materiel that is then needlessly repeated.
There are two reasons why this is not a desirable way to reply.
Firstly, it is very difficult for the readers to wade through multiple quotes to get to the reply.
Secondly, it uses unnecessary amounts of memory.
We do not want to have to go through all the threads, cleaning up these multiple quotes so administration has disabled that function.
The simple way to reply to a post is to go to the bottom of the page where there's a button on the left hand side called "new reply". That is the button you want.
If, on the other hand, you hit the "reply" button at the right hand bottom of each post it will put that post into your reply as a quote. Now you can edit this quite easily with your delete button, leaving only those portions of the post that you want to reply to.
Or, another way to do this is to highlight the portions of the post that you want to reply to and do a copy and paste into your reply box. You can then highlight it again and click on the "word balloon" button on the top left side of the reply box (third button in from the right side).
Clear as the Trinity???:scratchhead::confused: :igiveup:
Please ask any of the facilitators for help if you need it. That's what we're here for. We can walk you through it.
Love, Rez:giverose:
