''Reproach itself has broken my heart, and the wound is incurable. And I kept hoping for someone to show sympathy, but there was none; and for comforters but I found none.'' Ps. 69:20 :rose:

A heart wrenching scripture actually. Giving it some thought tho you start to realize the truth of it--things can be so bad that one feels all alone and without comfort from others. People actually can make things worse by their attitudes and indifference and sometimes we really do have circumstances that seem impossible for others to understand....

''Look to the right hand and see
That there is no one giving any
recognition to me.
My place for flight has perished
from me;
There is no one inquiring for my
soul.'' Psalms 142:4 :rose:

''''And I kept looking but there was no helper; :rose:
and I began to show myself astonished, but
there was no one offering support. So my
arm furnished me salvation and my rage
was what supported me.'' Isaiah 63:5 :rose:

but in contrast to that we do have Great comfort and support
from God and Christ--something to never forget  we
are never alone :heartbeat: :rose: I believe these scriptures are powerful enough to change lives--if we but believe :rose:

''Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He
will not permit the godly to slip and fall.'' Psalm 55:22 :rose:

''You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my
tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.
Psalm 56:8 ....What a perfect and tender scripture :heartbeat: :rose:

''Remember your promise to me; it is my only hope.
Your promise revives me, it comforts me in all my troubles.''
Psalm 119: 49-50 :rose:

''The LORD himself watches over you! The LORD stands beside you
as your protective shade. The sun will not harm you by day, nor
the moon at night.'' Psalm 121: 5,6 :rose:

''Then Jesus said: ''Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry
heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.'' Matt. 11:28 :rose:

''God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.'' 2 Cor. 1: 3-4 :rose: :rose: (I Love this scripture :heartbeat: )

''The Lamb on the throne will be their Shepherd. He will lead them to springs of life-giving water. And God will wipe every tear from their eyes.'' Revelation 7:17 :rose:

and a favorite one of mine :heartbeat: :rose:

''Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.'' Psalm 23:4:rose:

have a wonderful evening friends--love you all :grouphug:
wolfie, thank you for sharing this text and these inspiring verses.

Our God has shown us multiple times in His inspired Word that by putting our faith in mere mortals that we are only fooling ourselves. Many people do this while in the most desperate of times in their lives. Vulnerability is an open door for the enemy to walk in and tear down any hope we have. When we were in a vulnerable state, being sheep like and trusting in men, we were among many wolves who had ulterior motives.

In contrast, true comfort, however, can only originate with God Himself. History and experience shows us that human beings are not the real source of truth and comfort when it comes to the genuine undeserved loving kindness provided by our Father in heaven - only He can provide true love, compassion and light. That same light is reflected in the Father's true servants, although imperfect in this life, we do find solace among our true brothers and sisters who have a humble attitude - in this way they can help us to see Jah's wonderful light and come to rely upon Him even more.

We must depend on Almighty God, as He can decrease our sorrows, but man and organizations can only increase them.

Warm Christian love,
Stephen
