Seriously, (although I dont want to interrupt the flow), What are your views (or anyone elses) on Rom 8:16? "The spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are God’s children." How does the spirit bear witness with our spirit?

Translations can be decieving!

Diaglot Ro 8:16 16 Itself the spirit testifies together with the spirit of us, that we are children of God.

I like the Diaglot translation as it shows the oneness of spirit shared by the father and son that can become one in us as it is in the God of all, at all times. Once we are one in spirit by faith in Christ we to can have that oneness of spirit shared by the father and son.

We worship the lord of hosts.
As We are human hosts, where our spirit is housed and can house others.

After all is said and done, for the Christian of today out in the wilderness what is our authority now? Who is the guide we subject ourselves to now? What can give us comfort? What assures us of our salvation?

The Bible is essential for our assurance but the holy spirit is essential to give us that comfort that we are Son’s of God. Saved.

Here is the witness of the Law or the Bible.

And here of the Spirit.

In the end a vibrant intimacy with Jehovah God, through the holy spirit, must be at the root of loving Jehovah God with one’s whole heart, mind and soul.

Does what we know matter?

Jesus siad this;
