You can get about sections 1-5 of this doomsayers stuff here at the end.

What a horrendous voice!
Think I would rather be a Pentecostal, or listen to WC Fields.
Never heard his phonographs before, shame! Maybe I would not have spent so much time listening to WT rubbish.
Nice bit of Watchtower history.
Someone has The Photo Drama of Creation on Youtube. It seems to be a restored version and looks pretty good considering its age.

I remember working in the kitchens at the '69 assembly international at Wembly. Only 84,000. What was it with numbers? They must have thought this was the Great Crowd. Not much of a Great Crowd when perhaps 3,000,000 came out of Egypt.

If I had not been there I would not be here, but just think of those wasted years and energy.

At the end of this video, Knorr says in response to the question, "why don't JWs take blood?", " because the life is in the blood, you're not supposed to take part of your life and put it into someone else"

...I think that idea is in conflict with God's method of procreation, which is a reflection of how He put life into Adam, ie, the breath of life. :heartbeat:

I was 12 when we went to that assembly. If I remember correctly, it was an eight day convention wasn't it?

We lived in southern California and I think it was held in Pomona. Come to think of it... that may have been the one where we stayed at the barracks (which my cousin nicknamed the "concentration camp") in Cucamonga that I mentioned in an earlier post.

ah... the memories!

Hi guys

Yes, it was eight days.

I was thirteen when we went to that assembly at Wembley. There were nine children in our family by then, the youngest being 6 months old.

The first day was complete chaos. Sound was terrible in places so didn't hear much a lot of the time. Crucially I didn't really hear the baptism questions. I didn't really know what I was doing anyway. I was getting baptised because my parents thought it was a good idea. After all we were only six years away from '75.

The wasted years in that religion.:(

I was in my 20's when I travelled across Canada to Vancouver with one of my pioneer friends in a red convertible with "Peace on Earth Internation Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses" on its bumper sticker. We got lots of witnessing time in everywhere we stopped. Must've left a hundred magazines with gas station attenants alone.

Looking at the end of this video, I wonder if Nathan Knorr were alive today whether he might be somewhat stumbled by our present stand on organ transplants?:dontknow:?.

Love,

sw
