Em ,

So it seems your hope is in our exponential capability to solve the problems thru technological advance?

is that why you posted the video? as pertinent?

It is pertinent because it accurately displays the state of affairs we find ourselves in. Scary isn't it!
That was my point in posting it!
My hope is the Kingdom, never-the-less, technology will advance till the end of the great trib. Knowing how to figure the change from a dollar will be as necessary as knowing how to shoe a horse. Already I don't need to know how to spell, I just hit spell check! :P

Dear E-magine,:hibye:

I just wanted to add on my bi-polar side...

We were taught as JW's that the earth would be dealt a devastating Armegeddon, and then we would clean up the earth and it would be the beautiful paradise that God intended.

What if a simple garden earth is NOT the scenario?

What if technology isn't something that ends, but continues?...

I do rest my case on...I don't know a darn thing!

Illuminati, mass nazi style eradication, Armageddon?
Regardless what you call it, that brick wall is there.

Not done the math, pertaining to my lifetime, but it is not far off.
We need the intervention of God.

It is scary Vicky - in March when food prices rose and packages shrank I felt a pit of worry open in my stomach for a while. Still, we know what the scriptures say about a time when people would be faint out of fear, not knowing the way out (Luke 21:25-28). This had to happen.

We may yearn for intervention within our lifetime, whatever our age. But for each example of escape in the scriptures, there is an example of a faithful lover of God - often a prophet - who was stoned or cut to pieces or tossed into a sewer to drown in what sewers usually hold. We faithful worshippers are not the issue. . .

. . .The issue is in Genesis - "can mankind manage without God?" - and everything that's leading to the "brick wall" in all its forms is answering that question. You're right, Vicky, we need God's intervention. Mankind is learning from experience what Adam would not accept as direct advice from Jehovah, and when Mankind's rulers finally call for help, He'll send Our Lord to rescue us. He has waited thousands of years for the "prodigal son" creation to return to Him - of-course He'll be pleased, see us approaching from afar and run to meet us. Then Mankind - which has run the world independently with no superior - will finally acknowledge that they have one, and Jesus Christ will return with the authority willingly given to him by Mankind.

Yes, the times are monstrous - unimaginable - but were always going to happen. The day of our rescue will bring real joy in the Heavens and on earth when it arrives. Joshua 23:14) - it's time perhaps for us to read again that scripture in Luke 21:28

But as these things start to occur, raise yourselves up and lift up your heads, because your deliverence is getting near.

- not as a nice scripture or as something to debate on, but as advice to follow from our Lord. We'll still be scared, but an awareness that everything will be alright will help us - and those we talk to - to cope with this unique and difficult period.
