Read that passage (Daniel 9:27) in the Hebrew / English interlinear, and you'll get a completely different impression of what it's saying:

Also, take a look at the word that the KJV translates as "confirm".

It's "gabar", and it usually implies one party (or thing) prevails over another. The question is: Why does the KJV and others translate Daniel 9:27 differently from every other use of "gabar"?
I would say it's an example of supporting a false doctrine.
I posted a graphic timeline of this theory on another thread but it didn’t get any comment, so I don’t know if people thought it was too far out - or if they didn’t get the gist of what the timeline was trying to show. It was possibly a confusing graph given all the details it tried to capture in one place to show the correlations of Daniel and Revelation.

Per Interpretum’s references, the Hebrew literally reads in Daniel 9:27:
“and he has mastery covenant to the many onesâ€.
“gabar†- Per Strong’s H1396:
“to prevail, have strength, be strong, be powerful, be mighty, be great.â€
to be strong, mighty
to prevail
to make strong, strengthen
to confirm, give strength
to confirm (a covenant)
to show oneself mighty
to act proudly (toward God) < < < ???

The Gesenius Lexicon says (gabar):
“the primary power is that of bindingâ€
Here are some other uses of the word “gabar†in the OT:
And the waters prevailed (gabar) , and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters. Genesis 7:18
And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed (gabar), and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed (gabar) Exodus 17:18.
So it appears to me that “he†in Daniel 9:27 is in a position of power, of mastery, over others – but in a domineering and adversarial manner. This aspect of
gabar in my mind rules out the idea that the “he†is YHWH in extending the Abrahamic covenant exclusively to natural Israelites.

Yes, but it is only a clue.
If you watched the videos in the link in my signature (The Unforgivable Sin).
Then you might understand why 1 June 1985 is the milestone date that I believe the "constant feature" was removed and replaced by a disgusting thing.
The 2300 evenings and mornings (1150 days?) and the other days mentioned at the end of Daniel 12 all seem to use this milestone.
Watching all the videos is necessary to confirm or deny in your own mind that this is the milestone date.
Problem is that if you use literal days to do any calculations you don't end up anywhere special and all the dates will have long since passed by.
I tried to do the calculations using sabbath days (x7) and end up somewhere in the middle of February 2010 for the next event.
Thats less than 8 weeks from now!
I will confess that I am unable to discern what that next event might be.
Thats why I want to look at your timeline.
I am very confident about the milestone date explained in the videos however, am not so certain about the rest of my calculations.
Thats about all I can contribute regarding this at the present time.
At least my silver talent is now invested with the bankers.
It is a small but very important part of resolving the entire mystery.

Middle of February is less than one week from now and I still have not figured it out.
Could it be the end of the 3.5 times, the smashing of the Holy ones, death of the two witnesses?
Either I'll find out soon or will be able to just drop the entire idea and get on with looking at alternatives.

Hi friends.. I have discovered that there are actually 2 - 7 year periods.. so the chart isn't right. I used to have a chart similiar to the one posted until I discovered this..

Here's a hint: 70AD. Go back 3.5 years, and go forwards 3.5 years - you get 7 years. Might be important. :D
