Aristotle, let's start with him.
His theories were never questioned for thousands of years.
Hitler "The bigger the lie, the more who believe".
Let's start,
Aristotle,
"Nasal mucus was brain matter, ergo don't blow your nose"
"Flies have four legs" obviously could not count.
"Slaves are things and humans"
Jim Jones.
The more someone wants to believe something, the easier it is to convince them.

I feel like I've had a few too many kool aid mixes myself, the slow death mixes.
Its amazing what we think!!!
I think I can't configure the browser to get on my online classes. Even ran over to the school, no help there-need to call toll free number. Everything is busy. I'm going to have my kids help me when they get home.
Check in with you all later! Need a nap in quick unless work calls.
Much Love :heartbeat:Deb
Aristotle,
"Nasal mucus was brain matter, ergo don't blow your nose"
I always thought a handkerchief was a dangerous weapon in the wrong hands.
:D
Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase, "I might as well blow my brains out", doesn't it???

However, since I'm non-violent, I practice Jala Neti.
So, instead of blowing my brains out, as old Aristotle would have us believe...
...I gently wash my cluttered cranium out with warm salt water, each and every morning.
:D :D :D

the only infinite variable is the capacity to make mistakes

Sometimes truth is stanger than fiction. I believe in freedom and tolerance of others thoughts. When thoughts are supressed, how can one grow?
"Millions now living will never die"...1922
Millions then living, believed it.

Sadly, millions still do.

Who needs a moon walk when you can have a Sun walk!!
The Words of Brigham Young!
Who can tell us of the inhabitants of this little planet that shines of an evening, called the moon? When we view its face we may see what is termed "the man in the moon," and what some philosophers declare are the shadows of mountains. But these sayings are very vague, and amount to nothing; and when you inquire about the inhabitants of that sphere you find that the most learned are as ignorant in regard to them as the most ignorant of their fellows. So it is with regard to the inhabitants of the sun. Do you think it is inhabited? I rather think it is. Do you think there is any life there? No question of it;
Things like this just burn me up :D:D:D

I miss talking to Tim Kline. We had some interesting discussions.
Drawing lines in the sand is a symptom of religiocity, or babyloncity,
Who knows?
Awesome thread Vicky!
How's this for stupid? :D
An aluminum Boeing 767 crashes into & penetrates a 110 storey, steel framed building that had 236 exterior steel columns & 47 interior steel columns. 17 minutes later another Boeing 767 crashes into an almost identical building. Within 90 minutes both buildings "collapse" from the top down into their own footprint in approximately 10 seconds (near free fall-speed). Approximately 6 hours later a 47 storey building (that was NOT hit by a plane) also collapses into it's own footprint in approximately 8 seconds.
Aluminum planes cutting though steel?
1,368 foot-tall buildings collapsing into dust within 10 seconds?
It seems people will believe anything! ;)
