"I thought you should know that I am getting pics/messages back from channelc that it has been hacked.
Other XJW forums may be a target."
Do you mean like Big Brother, or just antagonists?

Just want to report that Paridise Cafe was wiped off of my computer early this morn for almoat a hour.
It even emptied my favorites from PC.
I could not even get in with Google or yahoo on Search. It even took it out of my icon on the top bar.
I got the same page for everything I tried Which read :
""This web page is not available."" after almost a hour everything was restored.
Now ! just now I clicked in to PC and immediatly a pop up came in which read:
""Paradise Cafe is A Bible student site are you sure you want to go in.""
It left as quick as it came, so I was already here, so thought while I was able to get in, I would report this.
What ever it was it didnt touch anything except Paridise Cafe .
Has this happened to any one else ?

That's totally weird, Susanna - especially that pop-up! I hope everything has gone back to normal for good now. I didn't come on this morning until around 8 and didn't experience anything out-of-the-way, though I thought the entire site was sluggish - I thought it was my computer or dial-up service(which is the pits!:( ). Thanks for the heads-up - we should all be more cautious and alert to signs and symptoms of hacking. I don't get what thrill they get out of it - but some people just love to cause trouble, don't they? :dontknow:
Love to you and all :grouphug:

Thank you willia for taking the time to answer my concern. I just found your post now. I came in to report another serious incident.
now here is something that I am deeply concerned about
I got into room 101 yesterday while you all were discussing Joel the 2nd chapter and low and behold my real server name which is not even in my profile was on the screen. I know you all must have seen it because my message was seen in regards to the two witnesses.
not only that but the brother who was taking the lead welcomed me by my name.
Now pray tell how did that happen.?
Willia you seem to be the only one that is taking a interest in to this strange twist and I thank you for it.
To make this even more mysterious, I opened membership on PC thru yahoo under a ficticious name,
yet yesterday my real full name was on the screen in room 101.
Whats up ?
Susanna :grouphug:
Hi Susanna--it seems you aren't the only one. I got an e-mail from 'Paying Attention' and she couldn't log in yesterday morning. Things came up really weird with numbers and a funky little message so she finally sent an e-mail asking for her account to be de-activated so she could sign up with a new account and still can't do that as it just won't let her in. I have requested help for her from administration--but what's going on?

I dont know Wolfie, and thank you
I just went into my profile and my accout is still listed under a assumed name and yahoo, the very same info that I gave for PC membership/
So I went back just now to room 101 and downloaded the soft ware three different times and each time my real complete name came up for entry in the room.
I only use that name for family and credit accts thats what has me worried.:dontknow:

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
What I did just now was copy and pasted my entry into room 101 and sent it to Administration,
I just opened the letter I sent to ADministration, and yes it was the very entry into the room with my full name on it.
So at least theres the proof and I'm not nuts.

For those of you having problems navigating or posting in the Paradise Cafe Discussions forum I have a couple of recommendations.
If you are using Mozilla Firefox as a browser please use
"Adblock Plus" here
And for general removal of malware please download
"Malwarebytes" Free version
If you lose some minor utilities in the process of removing the strangeness it may be well worth the sacrifice.
I hope this helps.

Dear Friends,
I don't know if my problems are related, but there are similarities. Despite my computer defenses being fully functional and all scans reading clear, I've been blocked for over a week from this and virtually all other web pages. I'm amazed I've gotten this far. Something about malicious advertizing code.
Hope all your pc issues get resolved. Is this crazy or what?
See you again, unless the axe falls!
Love,
CoCo
Coco I am mad. I am totally Coco.
If everything jams up let's use phone and skype.
Sending you details, hope you receive.

The newest virus circulating is the UPS/FedEx/DHL Delivery Failure.
You will receive an email from UPS/Fed Ex Service along with a packet number. It will say that they were unable to deliver a package sent to you on such-and-such a date. It then asks you to print out the invoice copy attached. DON'T TRY TO PRINT THIS. IT LAUNCHES THE VIRUS! Pass this warning on to all your PC operators at work and home. This virus has caused Millions of dollars in damage in the past few days.
Snopes confirms that it is real. http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/ups.asp

"Computing and communicating through the Web makes it virtually impossible to leave the past behind. College Facebook posts or pictures can resurface during a job interview; a lost or stolen laptop can expose personal photos or messages; or a legal investigation can subpoena the entire contents of a home or work computer, uncovering incriminating or just embarrassing details from the past.
Vanish is a research system designed to give users control over the lifetime of personal data stored on the web or in the cloud. Specifically, all copies of Vanish encrypted data — even archived or cached copies — will become permanently unreadable at a specific time, without any action on the part of the user or any third party or centralized service.
For example, using the Firefox Vanish plugin, a user can create an email, a Google Doc document, a Facebook message, or a blog comment — specifying that the document or message should "vanish" in 8 hours. Before that 8-hour timeout expires, anyone who has access to the data can read it; however after that timer expires, nobody can read that web content — not the user, not Google, not Facebook, not a hacker who breaks into the cloud service, and not even someone who obtains a warrant for that data. That data — regardless of where stored or archived prior to the timeout — simply self-destructs and becomes permanently unreadable."
