Good Morning, Everyone! :hibye: Daily Scriptural Text for Monday, February 5, 2007:
5 You prepare a meal for me in front of my enemies.
You pour oil over my head; You fill my cup to overflowing.
--Psalm 23:5, New Century Version.
Complementary Scriptures:
45 "Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47 I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions."--Matthew 24:45-47, New International Version Version.

11 There is much we could say about this, but it is hard to make you understand. It is because you do not want to hear well. 12 By now you should be teachers. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the first things you need to know from God's Word. You still need milk instead of solid food. 13 Anyone who lives on milk cannot understand the teaching about being right with God. He is a baby. 14 Solid food is for full-grown men. They have learned to use their minds to tell the difference between good and bad.
--Hebrews 5:11-14, New Life Version Version.
__________
6 And on this Mount [Zion] shall [YHWH] of hosts make for all peoples a feast of rich things [symbolic of His coronation festival inaugurating the reign of the Lord on earth, in the wake of a background of gloom, judgment, and terror], a feast of wines on the lees--of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.
--Isaiah 25:6, The Amplified Bible.
__________
13 I, [YHWH] God, will give food and drink to my servants, and they will celebrate.
But all of you sinners will go hungry and thirsty, overcome with disgrace.
--Isaiah 65:13, Contemporary English Version.

My comment: Here is the entire twenty-third Psalm, as rendered in The Message Bible:
A David Psalm
1 [YHWH], my shepherd! I don't need a thing.
2 You have bedded me down in lush meadows, You find me quiet pools to drink from.
3 True to Your word, You let me catch my breath and send me in the right direction.
4 Even when the way goes through Death Valley, I'm not afraid when You walk at my side.
Your trusty shepherd's crook makes me feel secure.
5 You serve me a six-course dinner right in front of my enemies.
You revive my drooping head; my cup brims with blessing.
6 Your beauty and love chase after me every day of my life.
I'm back home in the house of [YHWH] for the rest of my life.
'Nuff said.

I appreciate today's Daily Text because it shows just how hungry we would and could be with the Spiritual Food that is provided for us each and everyday from the Faithful and Discreet Slave. I know for myself if I miss a meeting I am so grateful for the provision of the phone tie-in, even though it is not the same as being at the Kingdom Hall and associating with my Christians friends I still get the Spiritual uplifting of listening and following along with the service. I would not like to think how I or anyone would be able to handle the day in and day out problems that we face if we did not have Jehovah's Word (The Bible), the meetings, and the publications. I know I would be completely lost.

No only will the father give us good things, but he will drench us with them!  Our cup will overflow, he will feed us a beautiful dinner infront of our enemies, he will give his only son even for us.
May we reflect the psalmist in our praise.
