Observe, O my son, the commandment of your father, and do not forsake the law of your mother.--Prov. 6:20 :rose:
The Bible has council for each and every occasion one might encounter. There are many scriptures regarding parents and giving them their due respect. I often think of my own parents and how wise they were and how odd I thought they were sometimes :D yet as I got older I was to figure out that within them were many many wise and wonderful things. They both had been to the school of hard knocks  and learned life the hard way. Oddly, I always recognized the wonderfulness of my grandmother and never thought she could be improved upon . I think it may have had something to do with her sweet and loving mannerisms. She was just The Best :heartbeat:. A few scriptures :heartbeat: :rose:
''Listen, my son, to the discipline of your father, and do not forsake the law of your mother. :rose:
For they are a wreath of attractiveness to your head and a
fine necklace to your throat.'' Prov. 1: 8,9 :rose:
''My son, my law do not forget, and my commandments may your heart observe, :rose:
because length of days and years of life and peace will be added to you. :rose:
May loving-kindness and trueness themselves not leave you. Tie them
about your throat. Write them upon the tablet of your heart
and so find favor and good insight in the eyes of God and of
earthling man.'' Prov. 3: 1-4 (Beautiful scriptures :heartbeat:) :rose:
''My son, keep my sayings, and may you treasure up my own commandments with you. :rose:
Keep my commandments and continue living, and my law like the pupil of your eyes. :rose:
Tie them upon your fingers, and write them upon the tablet of your heart. :rose:
Say to wisdom: ''You are my sister and may call understanding itself
'Kinswoman.'' Proverbs 7: 1-4 :rose:
''Listen to your father who caused your birth, and do not despise your mother just because she has grown old.'' Prov. 23:22 :rose:
and finally  :rose:
''Children, be obedient to your parents in union with the Lord,
for this is righteous: :rose:
Honor your father and your mother, which is the first command
with a promise; ''that it may go well with you and you may endure a long time on the earth.'' :rose:
And YOU, fathers, do not be irritating YOUR children, but go on
bringing them up in the discipline and mental-regulating of Jehovah.''
Ephesians 6: 1-4 .... :rose:
Advice and council to go around. Connecting the scriptures, I have come to realize that deep respect for parents is a requirement of God's and perhaps it is a training ground as we learn to respect their council and authority it makes it that much easier to give to Jah the respect and obedience He requires from us too as they are so interconnected as these scriptures show...(just a thoughts--or a peanut ) :rose:
Many apologies for this being a day behind. There was thunder and lightening here throughout the evening and then in the night thunder like I have never heard before  I have been told of thunder that shakes the house but never experienced what I would call that until last night--Intense  and now a new dawn and all is calm and quiet--and cool and refreshed. I Like it  :rose:
Have a wonderful day friends--have love, honor and respect--all those good things  :rose:
