Hi everyone:hibye:

I'm not very tech savvy but I do know how to ask for help.

What if someone is sight impaired and they are on the internet, are their any little to no fee programs that will read the posts?

I remember some kind of dragon speak? software?

Any suggestions?

Would the forum have to be updated to accommodate impairments or is there software that automatically does this?

Just wondering if there is anything we could do to help those losing/struggling with their sight, or any other impairments.

Thanks for your suggestion, in advance.

With Sisterly Love, Debbie
Hi Ontheedge

If you system is Windows xp and also use firefox...this workd on the system I use...

Does your mouse have a scroll wheel? If so, press a Ctrl key (lower corner of keyboard), and scroll up or down (on scroll wheel) to increase or decrease size of type (font).

Here's more info:

To increase the font size in XP:

1. Right click a blank part of the desktop.
2. Click the Properties option.
3. From the Display Properties dialog box, click the Settings tab.
4. Click the Advanced button.
5. Click the drop down arrow under DPI setting and click the Large size (120 dpi) option.
6. Click OK twice.

(hope this works for you.....)
if you have a mouse wheel on your mouse hold the ctrl keyboard button then use the mousewheel to zoom in and out (for Internet Explorer / Firefox)

hope it helps
Hi Debbie

I'm not sight impaired, but I sit about 5 feet away from the screen (paranoid about electromagentic radiation), so I browse with much bigger fonts.

If you're using the Firefox browser (and you should be!), then you can expand the font size by going to View > Zoom and then select Zoom In or Zoom Out. (You can also do this by holding down CTRL and pressing - or +, and 0 to reset the size).

If you're using Internet Explorer (nooooooooo!), then you can do something similar. In IE8 that's found under Page > Zoom.

Hope that helps!
