Wasn't he one of the counteragents to losch, one of the last strings keeping the organization from going full hardline.
I heard losch was pushing to be the new "charismatic leader" and this brother was the only one keeping him in check, he's a senior member, supposedly the one taking the lead, it was said losch however was coming up trying to take over.
Hmmm... What will this mean..

I heard Jaracz was a hardliner. Also I heard from an ex-JW that he also had a lot of influence at the wt (well... powerful was the word used).

Yes he was probably the most feared. He controlled the service dept. which controlled the writing dept. He was the one who suppressed all the information about paedophilia in the organisation, and hounded out those who mentioned it.

The service dept. controls the circuit and district overseers, who, in turn, control the congregation elders.
Jaracz was/is probably the hardest of the hardliners. As for Losch....here is the little blurb that accompanies his picture:
Gerrit Lösch
Born in 1941. Brother Lösch entered full-time service on November 1, 1961, and graduated from the 41st class of the Watchtower Bible School of Gilead. He served in the circuit and district work in Austria from 1963 to 1976. He married in 1967, and he and his wife, Merete, later served for 14 years as members of the Austria Bethel family in Vienna. They were transferred to the Society’s headquarters in Brooklyn, New York, where Brother Lösch has served in the Executive Offices and as an assistant to the Service Committee. He has a varied experience in the European field and has a knowledge of German, English, Romanian, and Italian
It would seem from the blurb beneath Jaracz's picture that it was TJ who was keeping Losch in check. Ahhhh....ambition and politics!
Theodore Jaracz
Born in 1925. Brother Jaracz was baptized in the 40s. 1951 He was sent to Australia as branch overseer. He greatly encouraged the brothers throughout the country by his zeal for theocratic orderliness and a fine lead in the field. He often took the opportunity to serve circuit assemblies reasonably close to the branch office in the role of district overseer. After some five years in the Australian branch, Brother Jaracz returned to the United States, where he and Sister Jaracz now serve at the Society’s headquarters.
Rez:P
So they are both hardliners, basically the same except jaracz is more concerned with public image (ped issue) and losch doesn't care (college issue) .
I believe jaracz is the one mentioned in mark heber millers book asking him about being anointed before partaking himself. Heh

You also confirmed something else I heard. Last night I listened to an interview with an xjw who pretty much said the same thing. In fact that's where I heard about Jaracz having a stroke.
Ironic isn't it that someone who wielded so much power is now himself (physically) powerless.
