Here is the Watchtower Study Article for today. It is titled "Be Vigilant" and as usual is taken from Br James' thread at the e-JW site.

Good morning to all. What a reminder this study show us.
First we should keep in mind that the the theme of Jesus' teaching was God's Kingdom. No doubt, the vindication of Jehovah’s sovereignty and the sanctification of his name by the Kingdom under Jesus Christ, the promised Seed. Also we can testify about the increase related to the preaching of the good news in our days.Increase over 2007

Then we are reminded about Be vigilant ...Why?? “Keep on the watch, therefore, because you know neither the day nor the hour.â€â€”MATTHEW 25:13.
Many reading the Bible and publications of Jehovah’s witnesses see considerable in the message pointing to the troubles in the earth, to the nearness of the great battle of Armageddon and to the terrible wickedness now rampant. So it is a nice and loving reminder.
Finnaly what a promise! (Acts 24:15) 15 and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.
JEHOVAH has given us sound reasons for hope in the resurrection. We have his word that the dead will rise, standing up again to life. And his purpose regarding those asleep in death is sure to be fulfilled. (Isaiah 55:11; Luke 18:27) The resurrection hope gives strength and comfort to all Christians today. If we remain faithful, no unforeseen occurrence and no enemy can rob us of our reward!
Have a nice day. Meditate in Jah's wonders.
'what a reminder' you said.
Yes, it certainly reminds me of all the previous 'spiritual food at the proper time' regarding the end that they have been spewing out for over a hundred years now!:( So when was the proper time in all these years!? It seems to me, that they take out bits and present them in other articles along the way, just to keep everyone on their toes and in the grip of fear! :readthis:Nothing spiritually nourishing there!:barf:Just the same old regurgitated and regurgitated fodder.:readthis:Not very appetizing.:eat:
We should always be on the watch, and behave decently as Christians not just for a reward, but because we love and worship the one who sent His only-begotten Son into the world, for ALL to be saved. John 3:16-17 And as no one knows the day or the hour, we should just wait patiently in expectancy of it, not with fear, but with love in our hearts knowing that God will bring all things into submission. And He will do it with His great mercy and justice towards ALL.
Paragraphs 11 and 12 in the article shows the lack of perception of its writers ( or lack of being faithful and discreet :readthis:) owing to the fact that the WT has also participated in the same filth it is blaming other religious entities for.:( They are as bad, and in some cases worse, than the very ones they are deriding.:readthis::barf: Think: :thinking:NGO AFFAIR, CHILD ABUSE, PROTECTION OF PAEDOPHILE BROTHERS (MANY OF THEM ELDERS OR IN A POSITIONS OF RESPONSIBILITY) AND COHORTING WITH THE COMMERCIAL ELEMENTS OF THIS WORLD RUN BY SATAN! IT IS AN ORGANIZATION WORTH BILLIONS! I'M SURE THERE IS MUCH MORE HORROR THAT GOES ON THAT WE ARE UNAWARE OF. :bigboss::dollar::dollar::dollar:)The innocent, sincere rank and file JW's are thrown about like sheep without a sheperd.:( They are being led by blind and greedy guides.:readthis:
Was that one of the articles written only for the 'worldwide brotherhood' as opposed to one of those articles written for the benefit of all those who are only going to die anyway!? :readthis:The brothers and sisters (especially those who know what has been going on over the years and keep quiet about it) ) should take their counsel to heed! Especially when they quote Chapters 17 and 18 of Revelation. Doesn't Revelation 18: 4 proclaim this very serious advice?
Come out , my people, away from her, so that you do not share in her crimes and have the same plagues to bear. 5 Her sins have reached up to the sky, and God has her crimes in mind: treat her as she has treated others. JB:read:
A good reminder for all of us, SWORDOFJAH  We really wouldn't want to get entangled once again in any of that, and return to the vomit, would we, now?:readthis:
Agape to all those suffering for righteousness sake.:heartbeat:
Grateful :giverose:
Funny recollection from Allen Greenspan. A pre WWI era when social services support was almost nonexistent in most of the world and now most advanced countries have universal health care and billions of aid is sent to developing countries.
And a unified if begrudging world wide effort by governments and banks to avoid a total collapse of the worlds financial system.
Try that in a pre WWI world.
Greenspan obviously wrote this memoir prior to financial collapse he in part manuevered by deregulating the banking system. There was a bright move.
Who edits the editors of the Watchtower these days anyway. Do they ever think twice before they hit the Run Presses button.

It's a cult. What more should we expect.
The theme of Jesus' teaching was that love supersedes law. The Kingdom will only be a manifestation of this.
But Christ's true followers have been vigilant and have discerned the real meaning of what has happened in the past century. Since 1925, Jehovah's Witnesses have recognized that World War I and the events that followed amount to sure evidence that Christ's presence in heavenly Kingdom power began in 1914.
Here's what I don't get. If this were really true (i.e. Christ's "presence in heavenly kingdom power began in 1914"), why would these kings start fighting themselves - which they did in 1914 - rather than fight this incoming King?
How is World War I evidence of anything, other than that the planet had reached the era where mass warfare was possible?
Oh, and by the way... you're not one of Christ's true followers if you don't recognize this "sure evidence"... the WTS says so! :P
:raspberry:
One gesture says a thousand words, thanks for the laugh.
Thanks for spotting that point in paragraph 4. The most obvious false statement, and one they repeat often is claiming Jehovah's Witnesses existed before they existed....:detective: 1925? Really! J.Rutherford was still a Bible Student in 1925. :read:
Take care

Lest we forget, and correct me if I'm wrong but if memory serves me , wasn't 1799 held to be the date when the last days began up until 1925? And wasn't Christ to have returned in 1874 and the end was to be in 1914? By 1925, weren't the ancient worthies expected to be resurrected and the 'house of princes,' BethSarim built in 1930 to house them? (it eventually housed Rutherford to his death to be later sold.)
Not quite sure how the FDS was so certain by then that Christ had consecrated them in 1919 when so many departed after the 1925 debacle. An organization built on trumped up dates is hardly inspiring loyalty as though coming from Christ.

Nice to focus on numbers. Notice the new 'truth' we now have on Jesus illustration of the leaven? (not in this WT) Old truth connected leaven to false religion yet, wonder of wonders, new truth has told us the numbers DO count (with us anyway) since leaven NOW represents GOOD growth!
Tweaking scripture is what we do best, isn't it SOJ? I used to think all other religions looked through rose-coloured glasses, but now I'm convinced the new mandate of the FDS is to have us ALL wear them (or by the stroke of a pen they'll un-JW you. imagine that:funnyface:)
Blessings,
