I'm sorry for 'clumping' things together.:giverose:
I don't know the difference between your thinking and another persons version of the trinity or even Bethel Boys YEHWEH and Jesus are one.
I do know that you and I have conversed on the board. You explained YOUR version as a fountainhead and I took time thinking over your posts.:heartbeat:
There is a problem with different 'theological and doctorine' differences being 'clumped' together. That's why we end up feuding so frequently. There is more than one side to each of us. Somebody gets offended by the 'clumping' and throws a cheap shot back and the next one gets offended etc..
Your beliefs are different than Bethelboy's, I believe. I THINK, just guessing, its my thinking, that Farhat, Malkah and you may be more similiar? Aye or Nay? I think, but I may be wrong that BB and Blithe may have more in common? As for me, I would consider myself more aligned with the board. I have my own perceptions (and with my imagination from reading the bible) and I like to share them and hear others.
Sharing perceptions is different than sharing doctorines. Our perceptions are our declarations of what we get out of reading the bible, praying, and seeking wisdom from the holy spirit as given to us 'differently'. Our perceptions are like poetry and art. I may disagree with your poem but the beauty of the love prevents me from trying to ruin the poem.
Where as, doctorine pummeling is looking for opportunities to shove someone's perception down other peoples throats instead of recognizing the 'spirit' of the post.
Reading perceptions is very difficult. I can read your perception and get a whole different picture. That's the beauty of conversation. Conversation is sharing without the anger and frustration that comes from condemnatory judgement from pummeling doctorines.
Once, you were quick to jump with eager anger. Now you jump softer, but still with the same passion. Why have you soften? I remember why and why do I remember? Because I like to find people's hearts and love them as my friend.:heartbeat:
I hope I made some headway with this post. My kids keep interrupting since I've been back at the computer.
With Sisterly Love, Debbie
Nice post. Thanks for sharing Debbie.
I tend to see BB's trinitarian views as typical Protestant so we dont quite match but that's alright. As far as Malkah and Farhat, i am not sure.
I do agree with you that we all tend to clump together others opposing beliefs.
If we stop to truly understand the other persons point of view (like you have) and not attack a caricuture than we will find we have a lot more in common.
And we need to do that with dignity and respect because these personal attacks on BOTH sides do not help. All they do is inflame the passions.
Cant we present both sides without resorting to name calling, sarcasm and hurt feelings? I think we can.
In the immortal words of Rodney King, "Can't we all just get along"? :D
