Dear Yannis,

I'm sorry for 'clumping' things together.:giverose:

I don't know the difference between your thinking and another persons version of the trinity or even Bethel Boys YEHWEH and Jesus are one.

I do know that you and I have conversed on the board. You explained YOUR version as a fountainhead and I took time thinking over your posts.:heartbeat:

There is a problem with different 'theological and doctorine' differences being 'clumped' together. That's why we end up feuding so frequently. There is more than one side to each of us. Somebody gets offended by the 'clumping' and throws a cheap shot back and the next one gets offended etc..

Your beliefs are different than Bethelboy's, I believe. I THINK, just guessing, its my thinking, that Farhat, Malkah and you may be more similiar? Aye or Nay? I think, but I may be wrong that BB and Blithe may have more in common? As for me, I would consider myself more aligned with the board. I have my own perceptions (and with my imagination from reading the bible) and I like to share them and hear others.

Sharing perceptions is different than sharing doctorines. Our perceptions are our declarations of what we get out of reading the bible, praying, and seeking wisdom from the holy spirit as given to us 'differently'. Our perceptions are like poetry and art. I may disagree with your poem but the beauty of the love prevents me from trying to ruin the poem.

Where as, doctorine pummeling is looking for opportunities to shove someone's perception down other peoples throats instead of recognizing the 'spirit' of the post.

Reading perceptions is very difficult. I can read your perception and get a whole different picture. That's the beauty of conversation. Conversation is sharing without the anger and frustration that comes from condemnatory judgement from pummeling doctorines.

Once, you were quick to jump with eager anger. Now you jump softer, but still with the same passion. Why have you soften? I remember why and why do I remember? Because I like to find people's hearts and love them as my friend.:heartbeat:

I hope I made some headway with this post. My kids keep interrupting since I've been back at the computer.

With Sisterly Love, Debbie

Nice post. Thanks for sharing Debbie.

I tend to see BB's trinitarian views as typical Protestant so we dont quite match but that's alright. As far as Malkah and Farhat, i am not sure.

I do agree with you that we all tend to clump together others opposing beliefs.

If we stop to truly understand the other persons point of view (like you have) and not attack a caricuture than we will find we have a lot more in common.

And we need to do that with dignity and respect because these personal attacks on BOTH sides do not help. All they do is inflame the passions.

Cant we present both sides without resorting to name calling, sarcasm and hurt feelings? I think we can.

In the immortal words of Rodney King, "Can't we all just get along"? :D

Well, what does that prove? My wife is in subjection to me but she is still my equal. As is my relationship to my father.

And is she not your equal because you are "one flesh" according to scripture? You are also of your father's flesh in another sense are you not? So when it comes to dogma, can anything be proven in nature by using figures of speech? It's what religions do.

sw

Well, Jesus used figures of speech so our feeble minds can comprehend so....

I feel it is time to say something.

Something.

 th-th-th-that's all folks. :insane:

Wick your comments are completely wrong!!! Below are my very first responses to the name choice. Why not do a search on BB and see my responses to others when asked about it? Instead you insinuate I had some agenda of using this nickname to sneek my way in.

As you can see I joined in Jan 2008 and on jan 1 2008 was asked this by Terra Nova.

Terra Nova Wrote:
Welcome Bethel Boy, do you really serve there? Well, if that is the case we should feel fortunate to have you here; I’m sure you are an insider who really knows what is going on inside the tower.

my answer

Bethelboy Wrote:
Well the nick name is perhaps misleading since I'm and Elder at a Church call Bethel Park I chose it. ( No ties what so ever with That Bethel ) Thanks for the warm Welcome!!

next question ( same day )

Terra Nova Wrote:
Were you ever a Jehovah's Witnesses? Does your church belong to some kind of denominational movement?

my answer

Bethelboy Wrote:
the quicky answer is No never a Witness ( my sister is)
and Bethel Park is an Brethren assembly.

So I can truely say there are the facts FROM DAY 1 here.

Now my WT seething!!! True!!! I am sOOOOOOOOOOOO ticked about the mess with my sister, aunt, cousins. I know personal loss here and boils down deep here against the WT. ( and on top of the back fence of my home backs onto a KH )

I'm am here to discuss the Scriptures and my point of view is my point of view. As far as teaching goes i believe this

John 14:26
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

It's not my Job, or yours or D2's etc.

The huge wrong that happens with the WT is that thier literature is studied first then the bible second. The end result views and opinions on Scripture are seen through WT colored glasses.

I hope you see that from the first day I joined I was up front about it.

Peace

I think Designs was "stupid" for thinking you were a "deceiver" for using Bethelboy for a name because you didn't go to Bethel in NY. You already explained that you had your own church in Canada, so Designs was plain "daft" or "needs a clue".

Well then Debbie, I'm still stupid, daft and need a clue because I do know how our boy booked himself in. But he'll protest again I'm sure.

You don't come onto this website using that kind of pseudonym while armed with every anti-WT roadside bomb, and not know exactly what you're doing. I just ain't that dumb. But you can call me stupid. I just think you're sticking up for the wrong guy.

So let's get honest here, BB. Were you really just thinking of your fine fellow Bethel church boys when you first logged on? Then you do nothing but banter the WT, flood us with rhetoric and think we're (duhhhh) stupid? This is the controversy room. So I'm allowed to call your bluff. And you're also allowed to tell the truth, lay bare your sins ... or you can continue telling us the lie.

And let's not get all offended because someone calls you up, eh? Let's at least try to be humble. If you think I'm a little bit snarky, call me up on it. Don Bodo did and I respected him for it because it got me off my teaching box long enough to learn what he knew that I didn't. I also learned from E-watchman and a raft of others who had an honest ax to grind. Does that mean I need to buy everything they bring to the bench? At least the WT uses reason to win confidence. We're here because it wrecked it with stupidity.

So why are you here? You want to teach us that if we don't accept the Trinity we'll all burn in hell? Come on. Either be honest or leave. Otherwise, at least be willing to be wrong.

As for the rest of you floaters out there waiting to pounce and flood us with more cymbalic rhetoric, this is the room for it. If you don't like our response then you can run away offended and cry foul. But at least let's try being honest and maybe we might have a meeting of minds. Otherwise, I'm just gonna stand at the sidelines with the rest and watch, because this kind of arguing is just a waste of time.
