Its interesting viewing the old books and the message they were sending out. My kids had a real visceral reaction to the pictures and the message of doom and gloom they would see and hear.

At some point in a religion's progress they need to address why they exist, what is the message they want to be known for, what is their mission.

I don't see how they could imagine someone smiling at the massacre around them. Doesn't feeling and loving your neighbour entail what love is? Wouldn't we be weeping for those we love? What do they think that God would shield their eyes from such horrors?

Righteous or not, I doubt anyone with Light in their hearts would come away from such horror with a smile. These pictures bothered me just to look at, and the ones of people rejoicing bothered me the most. Yes, they might be having their eternal promise fulfilled, but in these pictures disaster is still going on about them. They seem, somehow, less than human to me. Plastic and unfeeling.

That's just my personal reaction...:cry:

These pictures remind me of the collapse of the twin towers and building 7. Those who escaped were greatful but deeply shocked:

And let's not forget one important scripture. :read:God will start at His own sanctuary! :read: Ezek 9:6 )So anyone who thinks he is standing ( or any organization thinking along those lines :thinking:) should be very careful about pointing their fingers at anyone. If they truly are God's people, they should be quivering and looking to their own salvation, and not the complete annihilation of anyone outside of their religious group.:thinking:

We can learn a lot from the books of Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekial regarding what happened to 'God's Chosen Ones' :read: The complete and utter disregard and arrogant rejection of God's laws by its leaders should be a sound warning for any who think they will not pay a heavy price for neglecting to exercise justice,to love kindness and to be modest in walking with our God.
