This past weekend when we were doing yard work, we found a small litter of kittens under our mobile home -- three precious little furballs! :heartbeat: We gave them a blanket, and put a food bowl out for mama....but after a couple of days we realized that mama wasn't taking care of the babies anymore. Everytime we were outside we could hear them calling. So we brought them indoors -- but one was missing :( .We looked all over for it, it's just gone. We waited to see if mama was moving them, but after a while it was clear that she wasn't. So we brought the remaining two inside and are hand raising them. Two little black furballs, only about three weeks old! (eyes open, ears open, no teeth, wobbly walk). Hubby and I went to PetCo and bought a bottle feeding kit and newborn kitten formula to feed them. The staff there were extremely helpful in advising us how to feed and care for them -- God bless them for that!

It took a couple of days for the kitties to get used to the bottle, but they're eating well now. There's nothing quite like a well-fed, contented kitten purring in the crook of your arm!:blackcat::love:
Congratulations, Tami! :blackcat::blackcat:
Threre's a special connection between you and kittens bottle fed and raised from 'infants'. I've done it with 2 litters. The last two odd kittens I rescued were old enough to lap the tiger milk from a bowl.
Take pictures - 'cause they grow so fast!
My hubby and I are both kinda crazy about kitties, lol!

You're right on that!:heartbeat:

Love, Willa

we got a little something going on here ladies as my son told me last night his little cat 'maggie' has unexpectedly given birth to five adorable little itty bitties--she was an orphaned cat that showed up at his door this past winter in terrrible shape and not only did he save her little life but now he is blessed with these new arrivals--it will be fun and good homes will be easy to find around here. (I LOVE an itty bitty little anything)...last summer I was doing laundry and hanging out my quilt and notice a little baby fox had managed to find it's way onto the edge of my lawn--bbefore long mama was searching for it in full tracking mode with her nose down to the ground--on full mission--tracking her wandering baby--she found her and took her home. Jah sure knew what he was doing when he gave us these creatures to love and enjoy--and learn from :heartbeat:

Yeah, itty bitty anythings ARE cute! LOL! :heartbeat:

I can't believe he didn't realize the cat was pregnant! I'm so glad he took her in, as she needed a safe, warm place for her babies! Good for him!
