It is amazing to me how many times they presumed to say that God in Christ trusted them by simply implying that the Bible was referring to them and yet showed no proof of such...

is the F & DS! This elitism is reminiscent of the early Jewish Christians, that thought they were somehow closer to God then the Gentiles. Nothing has changed. This is demanded...Note this quote from the Revelation book (Chapter 12. Paragraph 14)

sorry, bangalore said something...hhhhhhhhmmmmmmm? what was the point? follow this man made thing or follow christ? the sheep know their masters voice? but do they really? if this is a true slave, why havent they declared the real truth, to send me a reply and say they dont teach 1935 anymore means nothing..so, what do they teach? do they teach that this number are sealed before the end begins, before jehovahs fear inspiring day begins which is marked by the set up of the wild beast, thats why its called the judgement day to see who will receive its mark and who will not, and those receiving that mark will have the bowls of Jehovahs anger poured on them at the end..so, getting back to 1935, if it is no longer doctrine..when do the wt say these were sealed? and if 1914 is true..then the generation then must be at least 126-136 years of age now, and if christ did become king in 1914, what happend to armageddon, when was satan abyssed and when did the 144000 rise to be with christ their brother?...it didnt happeen..its stillfuture..whenwill the wbts finally get it? Yeah! It's the poor souls who follow this tripe that are to be pitied! Before the judgement day, Jesus will give them amble opportunity to make adjustments. In the meantime, we need to carry on , with love and compassion. :grouphug:

Bangalore is kind enough to post these WT studies so we can see for ourselves what is being written.Many of us here don't have accesss to them anymore. It's not that we agree with what is written. Just an observation. Paragraph 18 says, “Since its appointment, the faithful and discreet slave has been ‘bringing the many to righteousness.’ (Daniel 12:3)” Is this true?

In paragraph 12 it says, “The faithful slave is also discreet in that it neither acts immodestly, running ahead of Jehovah.”

And yet how can this be so since in the context of Daniel 12, verse 2 says, “And there will be many of those asleep in the ground of dust who will wake up, these to indefinitely lasting life and those to reproaches [and] to indefinitely lasting abhorrence.”

So how can it be that the fds class is ‘bringing the many to righteousness’ before a time described as being after the resurrection. But try challenging this. Try asking a question of context. Try asking why it seems "the faithful slave is … running ahead of Jehovah” in this presumptuous use of scripture!

As Jesus said of the leaders of the true religion in his day: “The scribes and the Pharisees have seated themselves in the seat of Moses (no doubt with the same notion of bringing the nation to righteousness). Therefore all the things they tell you, do and observe, but do not do according to their deeds, for they say but do not perform.”

Indeed Jesus words would change little today: “The Faithful and Discreet Slave class have seated themselves in the throne of Christ. Therefore all the things they tell you, do and observe, but do not do according to their deeds, for they say but do not perform.” (Matthew 23:2-3)

Meanwhile, I crouch in my seat with a gag in my mouth, knowing that anything I say would be interpreted as heretic—even apostate. Even doubting is dissidence.
