somewhere along the way I missed something... are we not to judge people by their FRUITS rather than BELIEFS which is really a matter of PERCEPTION? I mean, according to the allegory interpretation of Genesis, the Tree of Knowledge is definitely not gnosis, in fact gnosis is the Tree of Life.

Well, Jesh my friend, I can only say that you've come a long way from being Young Earth Creationist. The pedulum swings wildly when the spirits say anything goes.

And all I can say is that rushing off to the extremes of belief will find you lots of company ... not necessarily the most logical, sensible or intelligent but if that's your choice, then nothing is stopping you.

Me? I prefer to lean toward the narrow, wilderness road. There ain't much company there but at least my brains won't fall out. Had all the exposure I could handle in a lifetime with hippies in the 60's and really didn't need that LSD to give me that good Hindu experience if I had've found a good enough guru.

I find it amazing that those raised as JW's have so little in powers of reason. But then I shouldn't be amazed. They were deprived of the real world and its broad road so long. So go for it Jesh. I hope you've got time to explore a bit. As I used to tell my kids: Mistakes are meant to be made, but just try to stub your toes before falling on your face.

Blessings, my friend,

Hi Digie, Lowlee here. :hibye:

What you said makes no sense to me at all. :crybaby:

Is that your son in your picture?

Sending a kiss and hug from a Lowlee sister :cheekkiss::hug:
Dear Lowlee,

Sorry for interrupting to your post to DP. I'm sure DP will answer you, himself when he can.:heartbeat:

I just want you to know that your not supposed to understand DP', in many ways. DP is bringing out some issues that may have a true value, but are sought in the wrong way. (I hope that was a good way of explaining it) There's only ONE way.

One of satan's tactics of making it seem like something 'good' is being withheld from them from God and the other is "THIS knowledge is GOOD for you". The problem with the second part: is its an illusion, for one and secondly, it take away our beliefs, from the bibles standpoint. The first "wrong" is that Jeshurun has been seeking information from spirit mediums. We are told NOT to do that. The only source of life must come from the Father and Son and we receive it by holy spirit.

One of the things that I think 'caught' Jeshurun is the fact that the WTBTS has so many ways of us 'blocking' the 'spirit' thinking everything is bad. How can we have a relationship with our Creator and our Lord, if we are to 'block' every spiritual situation? How do we 'know real spirit' from the fake stuff? Some people automatically 'know' and the bible says how this path is good and righteous for them. Some are dunderheads like me and say, let me see what's out there! Some are quick about figuring it out and others aren't.

I think one thing that is important, receiving holy spirit is done on Father and Son's time, not ours. But we are given generously according to our capabilities. If you look at Christianity from a child point of view, its not so burdensome, but in fact has so much beauty! If only we are strong and look for it, within 'our boundaries'! (PS. Most of us have been interacting with Jesh for quite some time. Some on the board have known him for years on a forum. Mine is 1 1/2 years. I've also read older posts of his. Many of us are sick at heart and pray for his swift return from the 'deeper things of satan')

I hope this information helps you a little bit. DP, I hope I explained fairly. And, Jesh, my prayers are with you, and of course, 'working it out' is welcomed.:heartbeat:

Well, sis Debbie has it mostly right -- though, I think its not so that we arent supposed to know such things, but rather, I think it is more that we dont have to know such things. To me, it makes no difference whether or not one knows or not - because the "knowing" part is mere opinion anyway.

Jesus is our Lord, our King and our Rock -- it is Him and only Him that is Truth -- all else is perception and interpretation.

If you would like me to explain, I can do that. If not, thats cool too! I simply meant to say, that I dont agree with reincarnation, and that I believe that there are other explanations that "fill the gap" where reincarnation supposedly fits in, that I believe do not contradict or conflict with God's Word. I have also been in debate with Buddists, and find that the Bible answers pretty much everything.

But that is only my opinion....and its worthless at best....:thumbsup::D

Cheers mate!

And thanks sis Debbie! You have a bright shining light! :drinking:

Yes, that is my son. I was with him in Sydney, a few weeks ago. It was so good to see him -- ill be spending more time with him in the coming months. More pictures coming soon!:clap:

Hi again digie,:hibye: :cheekkiss:

Can you tell me about the 'gaps?' I'm all ears. :questioning:  I was looking for a smilie with big ears on it but couldn't find any. :D

Somebody mentioned another Lee, but I'm not her.

Lowlee

.. Man have I missed a lot, maybe jeshurun should become a mormon... :-D , I've actually thought about this stuff in the past, however if you accept the bible, you have to accept that Christ ransom was needed, when it comes to judging falsehoods from truth it usually comes down to this.

This inner God stuff has some basis in reality as we are supposedto be in his image and in contact with him, linked to him as was Jesus Christ however something went wrong, in order to have reconcilation we need now to be in Christ to be in God.

We ourselves are not God and I reject the gnostic notions and "gospels" they are ridiculous and riddled with the philosophys and empty talk of men.

there are some things which christians have wrong and have adopted from gnostics, but the ransom and need for it are one which is not.

Your heading towards a path of spiritism, treading a fine line, I would reccomend the restoration fellowship and there articles to you http://www.biblicaltruthseekers.co.uk and restorationfellowship.org

Many here would not agree because they don't believe in pre existence as a person, but as a concept, but it offers an alternative view to gnosticism, check it out Jeshurun, your, open minded.
