I went back and reread. Its amazing how much time it takes to absorb different things!
I especially like your ending and concur.

Thank you for the encouragement big sis! :friends:
Another thing to think about is two woes occur on Babylon the Gt.
Yes, the Woe's appear to be specific judgements against the people of Babylon, thanks for posting this Vicky. :giverose:

I am sure you have read this Johnny

The point being three tails, (tail is something bad), scorpions serpents and a dragon and three woes.
Now off to search for resolutes research.
10 Crowns & 7 Crowns
And the dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority.
Revelation 13:1-2 (NIV)
Compare:
Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his heads. His tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that he might devour her child the moment it was born.
Revelation 12:3-4 (NIV)
The beast that comes out of the sea has 10 crowns on its 10 horns, whereas the red dragon has 7 crowns on its 7 heads.
"After that, in my vision at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast—terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns. "While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth that spoke boastfully.
Daniel 7:7-8 (NIV)
In Daniel's prophecy quoted above; the beast with 10 horns has three of it's horns uprooted by a little horn thus providing some explanation as to why the Beast out of the sea has 10 crowns & the red dragon only has 7.
Do you think the little horn as part of the seven that are left?
There were ten plagues in Egypt, but only seven were visited solely on the Egyptians.
In Revelation there are seven plagues not ten.
This seems parallel to the ten becoming seven horns sort of style.
Ok KoF another thought just struck me. The Gt Trib is the seven plagues.
The original Israelites and vast mixed company were separated out by the 7 (+3) plagues on Egypt, so the spiritual Israelites and spiritual Gentiles are separated out by the seven plagues of Revelation.
KOF,
What about the very earliest icon in the Bible - Bablyon - why do you think this name occurs at the very end of God's Word too?

I'm not too sure TD, I think Revelation 17:11 provides clues to this. The problem is I dont know what those clues are!
The beast who once was, and now is not, is an eighth king. He belongs to the seven and is going to his destruction.
Revelation 17:11

Hi Truthpaste :)
Maybe because in the post-flood world; Satan's conspiracy begins with the tower of Babel at Shinar/Babylon.
I personally feel that Babylonian ideas & beliefs still play a major role in today's religions & spiritual belief systems.

rev 17:12 reads to me as 10 kings plus one beast equals 11
Dan 7:7,8 read to be 10 kings with a little horn that shoots up amongs them also equaling 11
if it means anything I don't know.
edited, I wonder if the plagues also affecting the beasts four times has any signifigance?
And there were gnats on man and beast
with sores on man and beast
Every man and beast that is found in the field and is not brought home, when the hail comes down on them, will die."'"
firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast

Thanks for that reply, I certainly agree that many Babylonian ideals and ideas are still sown into many religious systems that surround pure Christianity, but I was thinking more of the potential of a final World Empire. Have you noticed any potential country or group of nations that have adopted the symbols and the defiance of that original Babylon?
Here is some evidence of tree's being religous spiritual teachers
Luke 3:9
"Indeed the axe is already laid at the root of the trees; so every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire."
Pulled from INTP"s post about Johns preaching to his own people the jews.
hope it helps
what you said reminds me of a song by Rush
The Trees
There is unrest in the forest,
There is trouble with the trees,
For the maples want more sunlight
And the oaks ignore their pleas.
The trouble with the maples,
(And they're quite convinced they're right)
They say the oaks are just too lofty
And they grab up all the light.
But the oaks can't help their feelings
If they like the way they're made.
And they wonder why the maples
Can't be happy in their shade.
There was trouble in the forest,
And the creatures all have fled,
As the maples scream "Oppression!"
And the oaks just shake their heads
So the maples formed a union
And demanded equal rights.
"The oaks are just too greedy;
We will make them give us light."
Now there's no more oak oppression,
For they passed a noble law,
And the trees are all kept equal
By hatchet, axe, and saw.
