The reason for posting pretty much the same information is that the pictures of the area are clearer. Never did understand why there is so little information out there about this. One would think that people would want to know about this. Maybe they just want to cover up any proof that the miraculous crossing and the devastation of Pharoah's armies actually happened.

I believe this is the greatest rift valley in the world.
The Jordan flows down it into the Dead Sea which is the lowest part of the earth, and hence the volcanic action upon Sodom. Then it becomes part of the Red Sea, and finally it is seen in Africa as tectonic plates move away from each other.
The shallow piece of land in this rift valley is truly amazing.
I am certain there was a program about this in England.

Thank you for the links. The History & Discovery Channels here in the U.S. have done programs on this. I'm always excited when I hear about the new discoveries.

Get on google earth and you can see these places up close.Its really cool. Check out the crossing site and the pillars they found also go into the mountains and find were the encampment was its all still there . Absolutly amazing! The mountain isnt called sinai , cant remember the name right now but scan across the mountains east and south of the crossing site. Google earth has tagged all the sites. The tags show up with names as you zoom in.Enjoy!:thumbup:

In case anyone dosnt know what google earth is, its a program offered by the seach engine Google that has aereal photogragh of the entire earth. Go to earth.google.com or just do a search then download to your pc, its free. See your house, the pyramids, or what evers your fancy ,its really interesting.:thumbup:especially biblical lands!
