Impart knowledge to someone righteous and he will increase in learning.--Prov. 9 :rose:

The ninth chapter of Proverbs is full of many spiritual gems of wisdom.
A few from the Holy Bible The New King James Version.... :rose:

wisdom has built her house. (1) :rose:

She has hewn out her seven pillars. (2) :rose:

She has slaughtered her meat.
She has mixed her wine.
She has also furnished her table. :rose:

She has sent out her maidens.
She cries out from the highest places of the city. (3) :rose:

''Whoever is simple, let him turn in here.!'' (4)
As for him who lacks understanding, she says to him, :rose:

Come, eat of my bread
And drink of the wine I have mixed. (5) :rose:

Forsake foolishness and live.
And go in the way of understanding. (6) :rose:

He who corrects a scoffer gets shame for
himself (7)
And he who rebukes a wicked man only harms himself. :rose:

Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you;
Rebuke a wise man, and he will love you more. (8) :rose:

Give instruction to a wise man and he will be wiser still teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.'' (9) :rose:

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. (10) :rose:
And the knowledge of The Holy One is understanding.

For by me your days will be multiplied
And years of life will be added to you. (11) :rose:

If you are wise you are wise for yourself,
And if you scoff, you will do it alone.'' (12) .. :rose:

all scriptures pointing to Jah being the way of wisdom
and what is beneficial to our life :rose:
Hello dear sister Wolfie :cheekkiss: I rejoice again when I read your comments to the daily text. You quoted Bible verses wich have a lot of wisdom. I'm sure many would benefit from following the counsel in them.

This one I have tried to begin to apply: He who corrects a scoffer gets shame for
himself (7)
Before reading the Bible by myself I thought that I always must warn a wicked one, but as the Scriptures show, there is a limit on how much effort to put on that.

It's nice that there is a cheekkiss smile, you can put to the post when you like. Maybe little bit stange to use. But while reading the Bible I have encountered this exhortation 5 times.
Greet one another with a holy kiss.(-Romans 16:16, 1Corinthians16:20, 2Corinthians 13:12, 1Thessalonians 5:26, 1Peter 5:14)And you Wolfie, you really deserve a holy kiss!

With brotherly love
Jan
thank you Jan so much for your always loving and thoughtful encouragement. ..and you too :cheekkiss:

I too gave extra thought to that particular scripture as it has become very aware to me my best role in life is much more as a listener than a speaker--only then do we begin to understand what we should say when we do eventually talk. And as my dad used to say ''when your talking you aren't learning'' --and as you say in this context-how much effort should go into changing someone's mind. Usually you just can't. It reminds me of Jesus telling the disciples that when they found one who wouldn't listen to ''shake the dust off their feet and move on''....

thanks again for your words and thoughts jan. You add real life to the daily text and make it so much richer for it :heartbeat:
