Let us meet by appointment at the house of the true God, within the temple, and let us close the doors of the temple; for they are coming in to kill you.--Neh. 6:10 :rose:

Watchtower comments:

''Shemaiah said that Nehemiah was about to be assassinated but he
could save his life by hiding in the temple. However, Nehemiah was not a priest. He would commit a sin by hiding in the house of God. Would he break God's Law in an attempt to save his life? Nehemiah responded: ''Who is there like me that could enter into the temple and live? I shall not enter! Why did Nehemiah not fall into the trap that haad been set for him? Because he knew tht\at although Shemaiah was a fellow Israelite, ''it was not God that had sent him.'' After all, a
true prophet would never advise him to break God's Law. Nehemiah did not let himself be conquored by evil opposers, and the rebuilding of Jerusalem's wall was completed in ''fifty-two days'',--Nehemiah 6: 10-15

supplementary scriptures :rose:

''And whenever the tabernacle is setting out, the Levites should
take it down, and when the tabernacle encamps, the Levites should
set it up; and any stranger coming near it should be put to death.''
Numbers 1:51 :rose:

''And you and your sons with you should safeeguard your priesthood as regards every concern of the altar and as regards what is inside the curtain; and you men must render service. As a service of gift I shall give your priesthood, and the stranger drawing near should be put to death.'' Numbers 18:7 ... :rose:

I will add that on January 13th we had a scripture from Neh. 6:2 and a lengthy commentary so I thought it was appropriate to use the Watchtower comments today as have been requested in addition to those of the other day which one can find by checking out that date........ :rose::rose:
