We all go through some pretty rough times. Seems like everyone is lately. :crybaby: Some of them really ugly. So today (well, actually, tonight, which happens to be a dark, stormy night...oooOOOOoohh) I'd like to dedicate this thread to everyone who's having a rough time or has ever had a bad day. :cheekkiss: Because, as Monty Python taught me oh so long ago "Always look on the bright side of life"

Sometimes it's not easy getting out of those slumps. Sometimes it might seem downright impossible. So here's a thread meant to make you FEEL GOOD. :cheer: Here's my question:

What makes you chuckle, laugh or just plain guffaw? What puts a smile on your face, even in the darkest of hours? :D Even if it's silly, share, because you never know, you might give a smile that brightens up someone's world. :P

For me, whenever I'm down, my husband is always there with this stupid, stupid goofy smile that kinda makes him look like an imp. It gets me every time, even when I don't want it to. That, and the feeling of my toes in warm summer grass. No better feeling in the world, especially when I'm down. Oh...and let's not forget  HUGS! (I'm a hugger, I admit it). :grouphug: Especially from someone who cares. Even if it doesn't pull me out completely, it sure can help. :)

"...If life seems jolly rotten,
There's something you've forgotten,
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you're feeling in the dumps,
Don't be silly chumps.
Just purse your lips and whistle.
That's the thing...So..." (Vicky, I'm sure you can finish this one if you're around) :P
Always look on the bright side of life.
Always look on the right side of life,

For life is quite absurd
And death's the final word.
You must always face the curtain with a bow.
Forget about your sin.
Give the audience a grin.
Enjoy it. It's your last chance, anyhow.
So,...

Always look on the bright side of death,
Just before you draw your terminal breath.

Life's a piece of sh!t,
When you look at it.
Life's a laugh and death's a joke it's true.
You'll see it's all a show.
Keep 'em laughing as you go.
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.
And...

Always look on the bright side of life.
Always look on the right side of life.

Ah, Monty Python! Always good for a laugh!:D
My family and I are on our second puzzle this year (second puzzle ever together as a family, too.). The first one had 1000 pieces, this one has 2000 pieces. 2nd puzzle, yeah! I'm clear coating the front and we are framing our first (we glued the back, yesterday.. I am recycling an old picture frame. I have some others I've gotten cheap from garage sales or the garbage from people throwing them away.

We have been able to, with Jehovah and Jesus's mercy, been able to add some continuous 'healthy' interaction.

Most of my children have been on restriction. My husband and I have found a way of working together to make some points and understand each other. I allow my child 'things' (object's or fun activites) when they don't deserve it. And he spoils his (our family tree climbing walker hound) dog to such a fault, that he ruining her intelligent potential.

So my way of coping with 'when life gives you lemons' is to remember and hang on to the 'good' that we get out of using those lemons for what 'good juice' they have in them. Just knowing that Jehovah and Jesus will give me something if 'I can just....'

That's one of my thinkings to get through "If I can just' do this maybe it will help, if I can just do that. The if 'I can just do's' can be very bad, too. Maybe that's the sour parts of the lemon? In the figurative thinking way.

Getting out of the bog of depression or self-destruction is different then making lemonade, though. But, I am a member of the lemonade world right now so......(Thank you, thank you, thank you!)

I thank Jehovah and Jesus for every moment of peace and happiness that my family gets. I pray the same for you and yours. In Jesus name, Amen.

With Christian Love, Debbie

PS. This was an essay contest subject in the seventh grade. I lost it to another girl and I have been 'bitter' to this day over it. Ahhh, LOL.

Well, today I think you've earned :cheer: :1st: :cheer:

I like lemons, the way people always manage to make pretty faces if one gets to drink their juice undiluted. I like the way it lights up the senses of my tongue like a christmas tree. For me it is a marvel to observe what happens when i slowly eat like lemons like an orange.

If life is "tough" for you it may be a way of life telling you to look at what is being tough so that you can see wether you are founded on the immovable rock. If the tough waves and storms of the world sway your emotions you have things to learn.

If life gives you lemons it might just be something to light you up and make you come to your senses via your tastebuds.

pull a good face and be happy :)
